Topical keratolytics are agents that are applied on the skin to soften the keratin. They loosen and assist exfoliation of the skin cells. Keratolytics also help the skin to bind moisture and is useful in treating dry skin conditions. They used to treat psoriasis, acne, warts, corns and other forms of keratosis.
