    Before taking Bio-Statin

You should not use Bio-Statin if you are allergic to it.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not give Bio-Statin to a child without medical advice.

    How to use Bio-Statin

Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.

Take this medicine with a full glass of water.

Shake the oral suspension (liquid) well just before you measure a dose. Measure liquid medicine with the dosing syringe provided, or with a special dose-measuring spoon or medicine cup. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask your pharmacist for one.

When taking liquid Bio-Statin to treat a yeast infection of the mouth, you may need to hold the medicine in your mouth for as long as possible. This allows the medicine to stay in contact with the infected area. Follow your doctor's instructions.

Do not share this medicine with another person, even if they have the same symptoms you have.

Use this medicine for the full prescribed length of time. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cleared. Skipping doses may also increase your risk of further infection that is resistant to antifungal medicine. Bio-Statin will not treat a viral infection such as the flu or a common cold.

Bio-Statin is usually given for up to 48 hours after lab tests show that the infection has cleared.

Store the Bio-Statin brand of nystatin in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.

Other brands or forms of this medicine may be stored at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

    Warnings

Use only as directed. Tell your doctor if you use other medicines or have other medical conditions or allergies.

What other drugs will affect Bio-Statin

Other drugs may affect Bio-Statin, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Tell your doctor about all other medicines you use.
