Usage of Diosmin

Diosmin may help people who have problems with swollen veins, especially in their legs. It may help with itching and bleeding caused by hemorrhoids.

Before taking Diosmin

  • Always check with your doctor before you use a natural product. Some products may not mix well with drugs or other natural products.

  • Do not use this product if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant soon. Use birth control you can trust while taking this product.

  • Do not use this product if you are breastfeeding.

  • Be sure to tell you doctor that you take this product if you are scheduled for surgery or tests.

  • Do not apply diosmin gel products to skin that is inflamed, irritated, or injured. Also, do no apply to any moist, mucous skin such as in your mouth.

  • Take extra care if you are taking drugs to help with swelling or inflammation. These are drugs like nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), aspirin, diclofenac, ibuprofen, or naproxen.

  • Take extra care if you are taking the drug chlorzoxazone. Diosmin may increase the risk of side effects of this drug.

  • Take extra care if you are taking the drug fexofenadine. Diosmin may increase the risk of side effects of this drug.

  • Take extra care and check with your doctor if you have:

  • Heart problems

  • Red blood cell or bleeding problems

  • Signs of a very bad reaction. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Go to the ER right away.

  • Signs of very bad blood flow. These include muscle aches or pains all over your body; very bad headaches.

  • Signs of abnormal heart rate. These include fast or slow pulse, dizziness, throwing up, chest pain, or heavy sweating.

  • Signs of a red blood cell problem like lack of color or pale skin, belly pain, feeling tired, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, fever, dizziness.
