Usage of Nasacort Allergy 24HR nasal

Nasacort Allergy 24HR (for the nose) is a steroid medicine used to treat sneezing, itching, and runny or stuffy nose caused by seasonal allergies or hay fever.

Nasacort Allergy 24HR may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Nasacort Allergy 24HR nasal side effects

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Nasacort Allergy 24HR may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have:

  • fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms;
  • nosebleeds; or
  • blurred vision, tunnel vision, eye pain, or seeing halos around lights.
  • Nasacort Allergy 24HR can affect growth in children. Tell your doctor if your child is not growing at a normal rate while using Nasacort Allergy 24HR.

    Less serious side effects may be more likely, and you may have none at all.

    Before taking Nasacort Allergy 24HR nasal

    You should not use Nasacort Allergy 24HR if you are allergic to Nasacort Allergy 24HR.

    Ask a doctor or pharmacist if this medicine is safe to use if you have ever had:

  • an eye infection;
  • glaucoma or cataracts;
  • ulcers in your nose; or
  • surgery or injury to your nose.
  • Ask a doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    Nasacort Allergy 24HR should not be given to a child younger than 2 years old.

    How to use Nasacort Allergy 24HR nasal

    Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.

    Do not take by mouth. Nasacort Allergy 24HR is for use only in your nose.

    Read and carefully follow any Instructions for Use provided with your medicine. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you do not understand these instructions.

    Shake the nasal spray well just before each use. Before your first use, prime the nasal spray pump by spraying the medicine into the air until a fine mist appears. If the nasal spray has not been used for longer than 2 weeks, prime it by spraying the medicine into the air until a fine mist appears.

    Stop using Nasacort Allergy 24HR and call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 7 days.

    Do not share the nasal spray with another person, or you could spread germs or disease.

    Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

    Warnings

    Follow all directions on your medicine label and package. Tell each of your healthcare providers about all your medical conditions, allergies, and all medicines you use.
