Ozenoxacin topical is an antibiotic medicine used to treat a skin infection called impetigo.

ozenoxacin topical is for use in adults and children who are at least 2 months old.

Ozenoxacin topical side effects

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Ozenoxacin topical may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have:

  • any signs of a new skin infection (redness, warmth, swelling, oozing).
  • Common side effects of ozenoxacin topical may include:

  • skin redness;
  • itching; or
  • skin dryness, peeling, or flaking.

    How to use Ozenoxacin topical

    Usual Adult Dose for Impetigo:

    Apply a thin layer topically to the affected area twice a day for 5 daysComments: The affected area may be up to 100 cm2.Use: For the topical treatment of impetigo due to Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes

    Usual Pediatric Dose for Impetigo:

    2 months or older: Apply a thin layer topically to the affected area twice a day for 5 daysComments:-The affected area may be 2% of the total body surface area and not exceeding 100 cm2 in patients less than 12 years of age.-The affected area may be up to 100 cm2 in patients 12 years or older.Use: For the topical treatment of impetigo due to Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes
