Usage of Pramoxine and zinc oxide topical

Pramoxine and zinc oxide topical (for the skin) is a combination medicine used to temporarily relieve pain, itching, burning, irritation, or soreness caused by hemorrhoids.

Pramoxine and zinc oxide topical may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Pramoxine and zinc oxide topical side effects

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Pramoxine and zinc oxide topical may cause serious side effects. Stop using pramoxine and zinc oxide topical and call your doctor at once if you have:

redness, irritation, swelling, or pain; or

rectal bleeding.

Less serious side effects may be more likely, and you may have none at all.

How to use Pramoxine and zinc oxide topical

Usual Adult Dose for Hemorrhoids:

Apply externally to the affected area up to 5 times daily. When practical, clean the affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinsing thoroughly. Gently dry by patting with toilet tissue or a soft cloth before applying.Dispensing Cap:Attach it to tube, lubricate well, then gently insert part way into anus. Squeeze the tube to deliver medication, then thoroughly cleanse the dispensing cap after use.

Usual Pediatric Dose for Hemorrhoids:
