Usage of Preparation H Maximum Strength

Preparation H Maximum Strength is a combination medicine used to relieve pain, soreness, burning, itching, and swelling caused by hemorrhoids.

Preparation H Maximum Strength may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Preparation H Maximum Strength side effects

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

This medicine may cause serious side effects. Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have:

  • severe irritation inside or around your rectum;
  • rectal pain, redness, swelling; or
  • any new or worsening hemorrhoid symptoms.
  • Less serious side effects are more likely, and you may have none at all.

    Before taking Preparation H Maximum Strength

    Tell your doctor if you have ever had:

  • heart disease;

  • Ask a doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    Do not give this medicine to a child younger than 12 years old without medical advice.
