Usage of Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit inhalation

Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD) in adults. Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit improves your ability to exercise and can help prevent your condition from getting worse.

Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit inhalation side effects

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have:

  • a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out; or
  • easy bruising or bleeding (nosebleeds, bleeding gums).
  • Common side effects of Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit may include:

  • cough, pain or irritation in your throat after use;
  • dizziness or feeling light-headed;
  • nausea, diarrhea;
  • headache; or
  • flushing (sudden warmth, redness, or tingly feeling).

    You should not use Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit if you are allergic to it.

  • low blood pressure;
  • asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, or other breathing disorder;
  • bleeding problems; or
  • liver disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    How to use Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit inhalation

    Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose. Use the medicine exactly as directed.

    Do not swallow Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit. The medicine should be inhaled only using the inhalation system provided with the medication.

    Do not use or mix other medicines with Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit.

    Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit is usually given 4 times per day at evenly spaced intervals during waking hours. Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.

    Read and carefully follow any instructions for setting up and using the medicine before preparing your first dose. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you do not understand these instructions.

    The effects of treprostinil inhalation will lessen over time between doses. Talk with your doctor if you need to time your dosing around any planned activities.

    Follow all storage and cleaning instructions provided with Tyvaso DPI Titration Kit. Your pharmacist can provide more information about how to store this medicine.

    Make sure you have a backup inhalation system available in case one of the systems stops working.
