Pharmacokology

acyclovir is a synthetic purin nucleosid conductor with inhibiting inhibitors in vito and in vivo virus Herpes Simplex TuyP 1 (HSV-1), TuyP 2 (HSV-2) and Varicella-Zoster virus (VZV). The inhibitory activity of acyclovir is highly selected by its affinity for the enzyme thymidin kinase (TK) encoded by HSV and VZV.This enzyme converts acyclovir into acyclovir monophosphate, a nucleotide conductor. Monophosphate is transformed into diphosphate by cell kinase and to triphosphate by some cell enzymes. In vitro, Acyclovir Triphosphate stops the Copy of the Herpes virus.

This process occurs in 3 lines:

  • Inhibit competition with the virus polymerase DNA.

    pharmacokinetics

oral bioavailability of Acyclovir about 20% (about 15-30%). Food does not affect the absorption of the drug. Acyclovir is widely distributed in body fluids and organs such as brain, kidneys, lungs, liver, spleen, intestines, muscles, uterus, mucosa and vaginal fluid, tears, aquatic fluid, fluid, cerebrospinal fluid.

Links to low protein (9 - 33%). Time to reach peak concentration in plasma is about 1.5 - 2 hours.

Selling time in adults: 3 hours, in children: 2 - 3 hours, in newborns: 4 hours. A small amount of Acyclovir is metabolized in the liver and most (30 - 90% of the dose) is eliminated through the renal in a constant form.
