Uses

Aerius is indicated in the following cases:

Quickly reduce symptoms related to allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny nose and itchy nose, congestion/nasal congestion as well as itching, watery eyes, red eyes, itchy throat and cough. Learning

After taken, the desloratadine selectively inhibits the peripheral H1 histamine receptor due to the absolutely non -absorbing drug into the central nervous system (CNS).

Desloratadine does not seep into the central nervous system. With a dose of 5mg treatment/day, the drowsiness rate is not higher than the placebo. In a single -dose study, Desloratadine 5mg does not affect the standard assessment of flight performance including drowsiness or flight -related tasks.

Supplemented for the existing classification of seasonal and year -round allergic rhinitis, can classify allergic rhinitis in another way such as non -continuous allergic rhinitis and prolonged allergic rhinitis depending on the time of symptoms. Allergic rhinitis is not continuously determined when symptoms appear 4 days/week and last> 4 weeks.

pharmacokinetic

can quantify the plasma concentration of desloratadine within 30 minutes using desloratadine. Desloratadine is well absorbed with the maximum concentration achieved after about 3 hours, the selling time of the end of the end is about 27 hours. Desloratadine does not inhibit CYP3A4 or CYP2D6 and nor a substrate or p-Glycoprotein inhibitor.

How to use

oral drugs. Can be used with or not at the same meal.

Dosage

adults and adolescents (12 years old)

10ml (5mg) Aerius Siro, take 1 time/day to reduce symptoms related to allergic rhinitis (including non -continuous allergic rhinitis and prolonged allergic rhinitis) and urticaria.

Children from 6 to 11 years old

5ml (2.5mg) Aerius Siro, taken 1 time/day to reduce symptoms related to allergic rhinitis (including non -continuous allergic rhinitis and prolonged allergic rhinitis) and urticaria.

children from 1 to 5 years old

2.5ml (1.25mg) Aerius Siro, take 1 time/day to reduce symptoms related to allergic rhinitis (including non -continuous allergic rhinitis and prolonged allergic rhinitis) and urticaria.

Children from 6 months to 11 months of age

2ml (1mg) Aerius Siro, 1 time/day to reduce symptoms related to allergic rhinitis (including non -continuous allergic rhinitis and prolonged allergic rhinitis) and urticaria.

Non -continuous allergic rhinitis (symptoms that appear 4 days/week and last> 4 weeks), can be treated continuously during exposure to allergens.

What to do when overdose? Should treat symptoms and support treatment.

On a multi -dose clinical study in adults and adolescents using desloratadine up to 45mg (9 times higher than the clinical dose) did not observe the clinical manifestation of the overdose.

Desloratadine is not excreted through blood decomposition, it is unclear whether it is excreted through peritoneal diverges.

Side Effects

In clinical trials on children, Aerius Siro is used for 246 children from 6 months to 11 years old. In general, the adverse effect rate in children 2 to 11 years old in both groups using Aerius Siro and Placebo.

In children and children from 6 to 23 months, the most common adverse effects are reported more than Placebo are diarrhea (3.7%), fever (2.3%) and insomnia (2.3%).

In clinical trials with indications for allergic rhinitis and chronic hunting, with a dose of 5mg/day, the adverse effects caused by Aerius tablets are reported in 3% of patients and higher than patients using Placebo.

The most common adverse effects with higher frequency than Placebo are fatigue (1.2%), dry mouth (0.8%), and headache (0.6%).

During the circulation of desloratadine on the market, it is very rare for the hypersensory reaction (including anaphylaxis and rash), heart rate, chest drum, increased mental activity, epilepsy, drowsiness, increased liver enzymes, hepatitis and boosting bilirubin.
