Uses

Indications

Air solution of artichoke 2.5mg/2.5ml for adults and children 4 years of age and older, indicated in the following cases:

  • Treatment of chronic bronchospasm does not respond to conventional therapy.
  • Treatment of acute severe asthma.

    ATC code: R03AC02

Salbutamol is a selective agonor on the receptor β2. At the treatment dose, Salbutamol has the effect on the receptors β2 of the bronchial muscle, has a short bronchodilator effect (from 4 to 6 hours), and rapidly starting (within 5 minutes) in the obstruction of the airway recovering. With an rapid onset effect, Salbutamol is suitable for treatment and preventing asthma attacks.

    pharmacokinetics

    absorption

After using the inhalation line, about 10-20% of the dose reaches the lower respiratory tract. The rest is kept in aerosol equipment or deposited in the mouth area, where the drug is swallowed. The deposits on the gas path are absorbed into the lung and circulating but not metabolized in the lungs.

    Distribution

Salbutamol binds to plasma proteins about 10%.

Metabolism When coming to the circulatory system, Salbutamol is metabolized in the liver and is excreted mainly in urine, in a constant form and phenolic sulfate.

The swallowing part of the inhaled dose is absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract and is mostly converted into phenolic sulfate.

    Elimination

The form of unchanged drugs and the conjugate form is excreted mainly in the urine. A small part is excreted in the stool. After taking a dose of inhaled Salbutamol, most of the amount of salbutamol is eliminated within 72 hours.

    How to use

Aerosaltolin aerosoline solution 2.5mg/2.5ml only for inhalation, inhaled by mouth under the guidance of a doctor through a suitable misting machine such as aerosol sprayer, T -tube or internal trache tube.

Atisaltolin aerosol solution is prepared for non -diluted use. However, if the use time is long (more than 10 minutes), it can be diluted by 0.9%Naci injection solution. Do not inject or take aerosol solution. Do not buy and use aerosol spray equipment at home to treat acute asthma for children and adolescents. Only respiratory specialists should appoint and manage clinical management of the use of nebulizers and air -to -home steaming drugs to treat acute asthma in children and young people.

Children must be fully instructed to use the device properly and when used must be supervised by adults.

Contact emergency medical assistance with emergency measures when asthma symptoms become more serious, even if there is a short -term recovery after using aerosol solution as directed.

    Dosage

    adults

recommended dose: 2.5 mg - 5 mg/time, up to 4 times a day. It is possible to use up to 40 mg daily under strict supervision at the hospital.

    Children

  • Children 12 years and older: Dosage like adults. Oxygen supplementation should be considered because it may occur. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist. What to do when using overdose?

Salbutamol overdose can cause hypokalemia, which should be monitored in serum.

There have been reports on lactic acidosis after high doses as well as overdose of the owner of the agonisti, so in the case of overdose may need to monitor serum lactate increase and the consequences of metabolic acidosis (especially if there is prolonged rapid breathing or worse even though there have been any signs of other bronchospasms such as wheezing).

In an emergency, call the 115 emergency center immediately or go to the nearest local health station.

What to do when forgetting a dose?

    Warnings

Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.

    Contraindicated

Atisaltolin aerosol solution 2.5mg/2.5ml contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to salbutamol or any ingredients of the drug.

    Be cautious when using

need to be very careful when taking the drug for patients in the following cases:

Atisaltolin aerosol solution is only used for inhalation, inhaled by mouth and not injected or taken.

In patients with severe asthma or unstable asthma, bronchodilators are not the only therapy or the main treatment. In these patients, clinical assessments are required such as lung function test, because there is a risk of recurrence of severe asthma attacks that can lead to death, need to consider treatment with high -dose corticosteroids or oral corticosteroids.

warns that patients who are being treated at home if they see the decrease in drug or decrease time time, when they want to increase the dose or frequency of use, they must consult a doctor.

Patients being treated with Salbutamol aerosol solution can also be used for other forms of preparation of short -acting bronchodilators to reduce symptoms. Increasing the use of bronchodilators β2 short -acting inhalation to reduce symptoms, showing that the control of asthma attacks is deteriorating. Patients should be evaluated and considered to start using and increasing oral or inhaling corticosteroids.

Severe drama attacks must be treated in the usual way.

salbutamol should be used cautiously in patients with toxic armor.

may experience heart effects when using sympathetic drugs, including salbutamol. There are some evidence from data after circulation and literature about the occurrence of myocardial ischemia related to Salbutamol but rare. Patients with severe heart disease (such as ischemic heart disease, arrhythmia, or severe heart failure) are taking Salbutamol, so they are warned of medical examination if they feel chest pain or other symptoms of heart disease progresses. Be careful when assessing symptoms such as shortness of breath or chest pain because those symptoms may be derived from respiratory or cardiovascular.

Salbutamol should be carefully used in patients known to have used large dosage of other sympathetic drugs.

The risk of serious hypokalemia may be the result of the treatment with the agonist substance β2, mainly by injection and aerosol. It is necessary to be particularly cautious for acute severe asthma because this side effect may increase when treatment combined with xanthin, steroids, diuretics and without oxygen. Should monitor blood potassium concentration in these cases.

Like other receptor receptors, Salbutamol can cause changes in recovery such as increased blood glucose levels. Patients with diabetes may not compensate for the increase in blood glucose and have reported on ceton acidosis. This effect may increase when used with corticosteroids.

Lactic acidosis has been reported when using high doses of agonists β short -acting aerosol and intravenous use, mainly in patients being treated for acute asthma attacks. Increased lactate concentration can lead to shortness of breath and increase compensation, may be misunderstood as a sign of failure of asthma treatment and lead to an increase in the treatment of inappropriate -acting β owner, therefore, it is recommended that patients monitor the increase in serum lactate concentration and consequences of metabolic acidosis in this case.

There has been a report on acute angle glaucoma in a small number of patients using a combination of aerosol and ipratropium bromid. Therefore, be careful when using a combination of aerosol salbutamol with other anti -chiolinergic drugs. Patients need to be fully instructed for proper use and the scene is not allowed to leave the solution or fog to stick to the eyes.

As other inhaled therapies, paradoxical bronchospasm can appear, instantly increasing the symptoms of wheezing after taking the drug. Should be treated immediately by other form of preparation or another quick -inhaled bronchodilator. Stop using artichoke immediately and if you need to be replaced with a bronchodilator, other quickly used.

The effect of the drug on the ability to drive and operate machinery

salbutamol can cause unwanted effects such as tremor, headache, dizziness, fast heart rate, and unwanted effects such as cramps, drumming, increased activity, arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation, tachycardia on ventricular, extra -minded). If the drug affects the ability to drive and operate machines, then should not take the drug.

Use drugs for women during pregnancy

    pregnancy

Consider using drugs during pregnancy if the gain gain is greater than any possible risk to the fetus. There are very little data on Salbutamol's safety in the early stages of pregnancy in humans, but in animal studies, there are evidence of some harmful effects on the fetus at very high doses.

    Breastfeeding period

Because salbutamol can be excreted through breast milk, it is not known whether salbutamol in breast milk can cause adverse effects for newborns or not, the use of drugs in breastfeeding women is not recommended unless the benefits are greater than any possible risk to babies.

    Interactive drug

Interactive drugs: The recommendation does not combine salbutamol with non -selective β inhibitors like propranolol.

    Cavalry: Not applicable.

  • Storage

Leave a cool place, avoid light, temperatures below 30⁰C.

To be out of reach of children, read the instructions carefully before use.
