Indications
Agiremid drug indicated in the following cases:
Rebamipid prevents the damage of gastric mucosa in different experimental ulcer models in mice, including ulcers created by stress when soaked in water, due to aspirin, indomethacin, histamine, serotonin and pyloric gasters.
In an ulcerative model produced by acetic acid in mice, the drug promotes healing of stomach ulcers and prevents ulcers recurrence after causing ulceration of 120-140 days.
Preventive or healing effect in the gastritis model
Rebamipid prevents the growth of gastritis caused by taurocholic acid (one of the main ingredients of bile acid) and promotes the healing of mucositis in the gastritis model in experimental mice.
The effect of increasing prostaglandin
Rebamipid increases the concentration of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in the mucous mucosa of the mouse. The drug also increases the concentration of PGE2, 15-keto-13,14-dihydro-Pge2 (is a metabolic substance of PGE2) and Prostaglandin I2 (PGI2) in gastric juice.
