Uses
Indications
Aju Akinol is indicated in the following cases:
pharmacokinetic
absorption
Due to the high properties of lipids, isotretionine increases absorption when taking the drug with a meal rich in fat. Clinical studies show that there is no difference in pharmacokinetics of isotretinoin in patients with lumpy acne acne and healthy people with normal skin.
Distribution
more than 99.9% isotretinoin associated with plasma proteins, mainly associated with albumin.
Metabolism and elimination
After taking isotretinoin, at least 3 metabolic forms are present in plasma: 4-oxo-isotretinoin, retinoic acid (tretinoin), and 4-oxo-remetinoic acid (4-oxo-tretinoin). Retinoic acid and 13-Cis-Retinoic acid are geometric coins and can be converted with each other. Using this isomers can produce other isomers. Isotretinoin is also not oxidized to 4-oxo-isotretinoin, into geometric isomers 4-oxo-tretinoin.
In vitro studies show that the basic p450 isometric forms are related to the metabolism of isotretinoin, 2C8, 2C9, 3A4, and 2B6. Isotretinoin and its metabolites continue to be metabolized through the conjugate path to excreted into urine and feces.
