The rest of the drug is excreted in feces in the form of insoluble bismuth salt. After taking the maximum daily recommended dose for adults, the average biological destruction time is about 33 hours and the peak concentration of Bismuth in plasma is below 35 ppb.
Salicylate absorbs through the intestine and quickly distributed into the body's tissues. The peak concentration in plasma after the maximum daily dose is about 110 micrograms/ml. Salicylate is quickly excreted from the body and the average biological destruction time is about 4-5.5 hours.
