Uses
Indications
Amlodipin Stada 5mg Cap 3x10 is indicated in the following cases:
amlodipin is a calcium antagonist in the dihydropyridine group (calcium ion antagonistic or slow channel blockers), inhibiting calcium flow through the cell membrane into the blood vessel and heart muscle. The process of vascular muscle and blood vessel muscles depends on the movement of extracellular calcium ions into these cells through specialized ions.
amlodipin selectively inhibits calcium flow through cell membranes, with the effects on blood vessel muscle cells better on myocardial cell. Amlodipine is a peripheral artery, directly acting on blood vessel smooth muscles, causing reduced peripheral vascular resistance and reducing blood pressure.
pharmacokinetic
absorption

Distribution
Birth changes but usually in the range of 60 - 65%. About 97.5% amlodipine is attached to plasma proteins. The final sale time lasts 35 - 50 hours and stable plasma concentrations achieved after 7-8 days of drug use.

What to do when overdose?
Existing data suggests that large -scale overdose can cause peripheral vessels and may be accompanied by tachycardia. There is a report on strong hypotension, prolonged and including death shock.
How to deal with overdose drugs:
Use single dose amlodipine, respectively 40mg/kg and 100mg/kg respectively on mice and large mice can be fatal. Overdose can cause excessive peripheral vessels with symptoms of clear hypotension and is likely to cause fast heart due to reflexes.
If serious overdose occurs, it is necessary to monitor the activity of the heart and the respiratory system, regularly monitor patient blood pressure. When hypotension occurs, cardiovascular support includes high foot statistics and using the appropriate electrical substances.
If the hypotension is still not responding, the medication should be used (such as phenylephrin) along with monitoring the volume of circulation and the amount of urine released. Intravenous injection of calcium gluconate can reverse the effect of blocking the amount of calcium. Amlodipine is associated with high plasma proteins, so it is not beneficial to blood decomposition.
What to do when you forget a dose? However, if close to the next dose, skip the forgotten dose and take the next dose at the time as planned. Note that it should not be used double the prescribed dose.
