ATC code: D11AF

Remowart is a skin solution containing the active ingredient Salicylic acid, and there is an excipient is lactic acid and flexible methylated collodion. The product is easy to use and has the ability to peel off strong horny layer.

Salicylic acid has a strong horny peeling effect and average disinfectant effect when applied to the skin. Salicylic acid softens and destroys the horny layer by increasing endogenous hydration, which can be caused by reducing pH, softening and flaking of the horn layer. Moisture is essential for the activity of salicylic acid on the skin to lighten and peel the epidermis. Salicylic Acid has weak antifungal and antibacterial activity.

Salicylic Acid is widely used with lactic acid and flexible Collodion in treating warts.

The treatment does not cause pain and patients can treat themselves.

Dynamic pharmacokinetics

salicylic acid is quickly absorbed through the skin and slowly excreted through the kidneys.
