ARBOL 100 drugs are indicated in the following cases:
Reduce 1 alpha hydroxylation in the kidneys reduces production 1.25 - (OH) 2D3 endogenous. This causes mineral metabolic disorders found in a number of diseases, including kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, blood calcium in newborn babies and rickets depend on vitamin D. This can lead to unpredictable reduction of blood calcium, which can take a few weeks or a few months to recover. The main advantage of alfacalcidol is the faster start, which allows a more accurate titration of dosage. Therefore, lower blood calcium can occur for a few days after treatment.
pharmacokinetics
alfacalcidol absorb good through the gastrointestinal tract. Alfacalcidol and its metabolites rotate in the blood associated with specific alpha globulin. Alfacalcidol converts the liver to 1.25 - (OH) 2D3, which is a substance that regulates calcium and phosphorus concentration in serum.
The drug is excreted mainly through bile and feces, a small amount of cards excreted through urine.

Contraindicated
ARBOL 100 drug contraindicated in the following cases:

alfacalcidol increases the absorption of calcium and phosphate in the intestine, so it is necessary to monitor the concentration of calcium and phosphorus, especially in patients with renal impairment.
Caution in patients with kidney stones.
The ability to drive and operate machinery
The drug has an unwanted effect that causes a dizzy headache, so be careful when driving and operating machinery,
Pregnancy
Animal research does not see any danger when taking the drug. However, only using alfacalcidol during pregnancy if treatment is necessary and no better replacement.

Drug interaction
should not be treated simultaneously with cholestyramin or colestipol hydrochloride, as it can lead to reducing the absorption of Alfacalcidol in the intestine.
Excessive use of mineral oil can hinder the absorption of alfacalcidol in the intestine.
Simultaneous treatment of alfacalcidol with diuretic gums for those who are parathyroidism can lead to hypercalcemia. In that case, it is necessary to reduce the dose of alfacalcidol or stop using temporary alfacalcidol.
Do not simultaneously use alfacalcidol with phenobarbital and/or phenytoin (and may be with other drugs that cause liver enzymes) because these drugs can reduce alfacalcidol levels in plasma.
Do not simultaneously use alfacalcidol with corticosteroids because corticosteroids hinder the effect of alfacalcidol.
Do not simultaneously use alfacalcidol with cardiac glycosides because the toxicity of glycosides supports increased cardiac due to hypercalcemia, leading to arrhythmia.
