Uses

Indications

ceftibuten are indicated for treatment of medium and mild infections caused by sensitive bacteria, such as:

  • Respiratory infections: Acute attacks in chronic bronchitis, upper jaw sinusitis, acute bronchitis, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella Catatrhalis or Streptococcus pneumoniae. Streptococcus pyogenes. Area

Pharmacological group: antibiotics of Cephalosporin group 3

    ATC code: J01DD14

    Mechanism of action:

Ceftibuten is semi -synthetic cephalosporin antibiotic, 3rd generation, with bactericidal effects. CEFTIBUTEN inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. CEFTIBUTEN is sustainable with beta-lactamase enzymes, so the drug is effective for many resistance strains with penicillin or some other antibiotics belonging to the cephalosporin group.

CEFTIBUTEN is highly sustainable with penicillinase and cephalosporinase through plasmid intermediaries, not durable with some cephalosporinase through intermediaries in bacteria such as Citrobacter, Enterobacter and Bacteroides.

ceftibuten has been shown in vitro and clinically, showing the drug works on most of the following bacteria:

    Gram -positive bacteria:

Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae (except for penicillin resistance lines).

    Gram -negative bacteria:

  • Haemophilus Influenzae (Beta Lactamase positive and negative). Calculate).
  • Escherichia Coli; Klebsiella sp. (including K. Pneumoniae and K. Oxytoca). P. Mirabilis. Salmonella SP; Shigella sp.

    Gram -positive bacteria:

Streptocbecus group C and group G.

    Gram -negative bacteria:

Brucella, Neiserria, Aeromonas Hydrophilia, Yersinia Enterocotilica, Providencia Rettgeri,

Providencia Stuartii and Citrobacter, Morganella and Serratia series are not multi -secreting Cephalosporinase through chromosomes.

ceftibuten has no activity on Staphylococcus, Enterococcus, Acinetobacter, Listeria, Flavobacteria and Pseudomonas spp.

    Medicinal resistance mechanism:

CEFTIBUTEN is unstable with some cephalosporinase through chromosomes in bacteria such as Bacteroides, Citrobacter, Enerobacter, Morganella and Serratia.

Like other beta-lactam, CEFTIBUTEN should not be used against beta-lactam resistance strains due to common mechanisms such as changing membrane absorption or penicillin-mounted protein-mounted protein like S. Pneumoniae penicillin.

    Dynamic pharmacokinetics

CEFTIBUTEN is quickly absorbed through the digestive system after oral, oral use of the drug is about 75-90%. Food reduces the speed and level of absorption of CEFTIBUTEN, but this impact mainly affects the bioavailability of CEFTIBUTEN when used in the form of more fluid, less affected when used in the form of capsules.

After taking a dose of 400 mg/time/day, CEFTIBUTEN is capsule in 7 days, the average peak concentration of 17.9 mcg/ml on the 7th day. The distribution is about 0.21 l/kg in healthy adults and about 0.5 l/kg in children. After drinking, Ceftibuten distributes into the fluid in the burning place, pulmonary fluid, nasal secretion, saliva, middle ear secretion, tracheal secretion, tonsils. About 65% of drugs are linked to plasma proteins.

Selling plasma waste time of an average of 2-2.4 hours in healthy adults with normal kidney function and 1.9-2.5 hours in children 6 months to 16 years old.

CEFTIBUTEN is present in plasma and urine mainly in the form of cis -cebuten. About 10% converts into Trans-Socftibuten. Trans isomers are lower, only about 12% compared to CIS isomers. Selling plasma waste time is longer in patients with renal failure.

The drug is mainly eliminated through urine. After taking the dose of 400 mg (researching in healthy men), about 57-70% of the dosage excreted through urine in the form of unchanged and about 7-20% is excreted in the form of CIS isomers.

    ceftibuten through hemolysis membrane.
