The anticoagulant effect of acetylsalicylic acid is due to indirect platelet inhibition effects through the negative acetylation of plateletic cyclooxy The inhibitory effects of acetylsalicylic acid on the production of platelet threshold are still during the existence of platelets, about 8-9 days in normal people. This leads to a plateletic cycloxygenase acetyl

pharmacokinetic

While absorbed through the intestinal wall, as well as in the liver and blood, acetylsalicylic acid is hydrolyzed into salicylic acid. With a dose of 500mg acetylsalicylic acid, the sale time is 20 - 30 minutes, and 2.5 - 3 hours with salicylic acid. When using a higher dosage, the sale time of salicylic acid is more. Warnings

Contraindicated

ASPILETS EC is contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Patients with acetylsalicylic acid hypersensitivity or other non-steroid anti-inflammatory.
  • Patients with asthma, rhinitis and nasal polyps due to bronchospasm and rhinitis may be more serious in the case of acetylsalicylic acid intolerance.
  • Patients with a history of progressive gastrointestinal ulcer because acetylsalicylic acid can cause stomach mucosa and bleeding.
  • Patients with moderate and severe heart failure.
  • Patients with severe renal impairment and liver failure, cirrhosis.
  • People with bleeding and thrombocytopenia.
  • Note

  • Alcoholism: Patients who drink on 3 glasses of alcohol a day should consult a doctor when taking acetylsalicylic acid because of alcoholism is associated with the risk of bleeding.
  • Acetylsalicylic acid can inhibit platelet function and lead to prolonged bleeding time. Acetylsalicylic acid should be avoided in patients with genetic coagulation disorders (hemophilia) or suffering from (liver disease or vitamin K).

    Be cautious when using

When treating people with mild heart failure, kidney disease or liver disease, especially when used simultaneously with diuretics, it is necessary to carefully consider the risk of water retention and the risk of reducing kidney function.

Children: Avoid using acetylsalicylic acid for children with viral fever (flu or chickenpox) because of the risk of Reye syndrome, a rare but serious disease on the liver and nervous system that can lead to coma and death.

    Pregnancy or breastfeeding

For pregnant women: only acetylsalicylic acid should be used if it is really necessary because it can cause early arteriosclerosis and labor delay. Avoid use in the last three months of pregnancy (because of the risk of bleeding during birth).

For breastfeeding women: Do not use acetylsalicylic acid because salicylate is excreted through breast milk. High doses can cause rash, platelet deformities and bleeding in breastfeeding.

Acetylsalicylic acid may reduce the effect of lowering the blood pressure of beta inhibitors and diuretics, reducing the effect of lowering blood pressure and sodium/blood lowering of the enzyme inhibitors. Salicylate can inhibit the kidneys in the kidneys of methotrexate leading to bone marrow poisoning, especially in the elderly or patients with renal impairment. Acetylsalicylic acid should be avoided at the same time with other anti -inflammatory drugs - steroids and other anticoagulants (heparin and warfarin) due to increased risk of bleeding. Salicylate antagonists acting with drugs that increase uric acid secretion in urine (probenecid and sulfinpyrazone).
