Atasic drug prescribed treatment in cases of bacterial infections sensitive to drugs:
Antibacterial spectrum includes: common bacteria in respiratory infections.
Gram + bacteria: Streptococcus pyogenes, S. Pneumoniae
Gram bacteria-: Gram bacillus- including beta-lactamase strains such as H. Influenzae, M. CatVrhalis.
Other bacteria: Citrobacter Diversus, Escherichia Coli, Klebsiella Oxytoca, Klebsiella Pneumoniae, Proteus Mirabilis, Proteus Vulgaris, Providencia Rettgeri, Providencia Stuarti, Salmonella Sp., Shigella Sp. and N. Gonorrhoeae, .v ..
Mechanism of action
Atasic is a bactericidal antibiotic according to the mechanism of inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, so bacteria cannot create cell walls and will be broken under the effect of osmotic pressure. The outstanding advantage of Cefixim is that it has a strong effect on gram-negative bacteria and durable drugs with bacterial B-Lactamase yeasts, thereby avoiding drug resistance.
Dynamic pharmacokinetics

Cefixim is distributed into tissues and body fluids. The drug is associated with plasma protein about 65%.

Dosage

The usual treatment time is from 7 - 14 days.
Adults and children over 12 years: Adult treatment dose is 200mg - 400mg/day in case of severe infection, can be used once or divided into 2 times a day.
Children: Children's treatment dose is 8mg/kg/day drink only once or divided into 2 times a day. The safety and effectiveness of the drug has not been recorded in children under 06 months of age.
Children over 50 kg used as adults.
People with renal failure: Cefixim can be used in people with kidney failure.
Using a normal dose for patients with creatinine clearance 60ml/min or higher.
Patients with clearance from 21 - 60ml/minute or artificial dialysis can use 75% of the standard dose with the dose distance as usual.
