Indications

Aticef 500mg drug is indicated in cases of mild to medium infection treatment due to sensitive bacteria including:

Respiratory infections:

tonsillitis, sore throat, otitis media, sinusitis, laryngitis.

Bronchitis, lungs, lobe pneumonia, acute and chronic bronchitis, lung abscess, pleural purulent inflammation, pleura.

Cefadroxil is not metabolized. More than 90% of use excreted in urine in the form of unchanged within 24 hours through glomerular filtration and excretion in the renal tubules. Cefadroxil is greatly eliminated through artificial kidney.

Urinary tract infections - genitals: nephritis, acute and chronic pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, gynecological infections.

Skin and soft tissue infections: boils, halo inflammation, lymphadenitis, abscess, cellular inflammation, ulcers due to long lying, mastitis.

Pharmacokology

500 - 1000mg (1 - 2 capsules) x2 times/ day.

The dose of aticef treats respiratory infections and mild to moderate osteoarthritis

500mg (1 tablet) x2 times/day. Severe cases can be used up to 1000mg (2 tablets) x2 times/day.

Aticef dose for skin infections and soft tissue

1000mg (2 tablets) x1 times/ day.

Children over 6 years old

500mg (1 tablet) x2 times/ day.

In people with renal failure

Need to adjust the dosage in cases of renal failure with creatinine clearance

The next doses can be adjusted as follows:

Creatinine clearance 0 - 10ml/minute: dose 500 - 1000mg (1 - 2 capsules), every 36 hours.
