Uses
Indications
Bart drugs are indicated in the following cases: Tenoxicam is indicated as an anti -inflammatory analgesic drug in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, vertebral inflammation, gout and external rheumatoid disorders (tendonitis, epidemic inflammation, neuritis, back pain) and post -traumatic swelling.
Pharmacokology
Pharmacological group: nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs, Oxicam conductive groups.
Tenoxicam is an nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drug that has a significant anti -inflammatory and analgesic effect and somewhat cooling effect. Like other nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs, currently it is unknown to exactly the effect of Tenoxicam's effect, although there are many assumptions that prostaglandin biosynthesis inhibit bloody biosynthesis, reducing leukemia in the inflammation.
Tenoxicam is used to treat bone - joints and rheumatoid degeneration symptoms and even short -term management of soft tissue lesions. Tenoxicam does not affect the progression of some rheumatoid arthritis forms.
Like other nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs, Tenoxicam causes damage to the gastrointestinal tract due to the decrease in prostaglandin, which leads to inhibition of mucin formation (substances that protect the gastrointestinal tract). Prostaglandin plays a role in maintaining kidney perfusion.
nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs inhibit prostaglandin, so it can cause interstitial nephritis, glomerulonephritis, kidney necrosis and nephrotic syndrome especially in people with kidney disease or chronic heart failure. For these patients, nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs can increase acute renal failure and acute heart failure.
pharmacokinetic
absorption
After using about 1 to 2.6 hours when hungry and 4-6 hours when No, Tenoxicam reaches the maximum concentration. Food slows down the absorption process but does not reduce the bioavailability of the drug.
Distribution
highly linked with protein and absorb a significant amount into the synovial membrane. Half life eliminates about 70 hours. If daily use, stability is achieved within 10-15 days.
Metabolism
Tenoxicam is completely transformed into a non -active form.
Elimination
Tenoxicam metabolites are eliminated through urine and feces.
Before taking Bart 20mg Sosepharm medicine for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis (3 blisters x 10 tablets)
How to use
Take oral use, can drink when hungry or full.
Dosage
Adults
The usual dose is 20mg (1 capsule), once a day.
In the exacerbation of gout arthritis, the recommended dose is 40mg once a day for 2 days after 20mg/day for 5 days.
Children
Not for patients under 15 years old.
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.
What to do when overdose?
Use measures to reduce the absorption and increase the rate of elimination of drugs: for gastrointestinal lavage as soon as possible after overdose and closely monitor patients, support treatment if necessary:
may cause vomiting to eliminate drugs but should not use ipeca syrup because it can cause symptoms similar to nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory poisoning, causing further complicated diagnosis.
can be used for activated carbon, but the effect of activated carbon reduces the absorption of nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs that have not been clearly defined if given after two hours.
Symptoms of poisoning on digestive, can be treated by patients using antacids and H2 receptor inhibitors.
If you need to remove Tenoxicam from the digestive system, use 3 doses of 4g cholestyramin.
What to do when you forget the dose? However, if close to the next dose, skip the forgotten dose and take the next dose at the time as planned. Do not drink twice as prescribed.
