Rebamipid absorption rate tends to be slow when the drug is taken orally at a dose of 150 mg for 6 healthy people after a meal compared to the absorption rate if taken before eating. However, food does not affect the bioavailability of the drug in humans.
The pharmacokinetic parameters recorded from patients with renal failure after taking a single dose of 100 mg of Rebamipid shows higher plasma concentrations and longer selling time than in healthy people. In a stable state, Rebamipid concentration in mental hemorrhage is observed in patients with renal fertilizer after the dose is repeated very similar to the values when using a single dose. Therefore, the drug is considered not accumulated.
Metabolism
After giving healthy adult men with a single dose of 600 mg, Rebamipid is mainly excreted in urine in the form of constant drugs. A metabolite has a group of hydroxyl in the 8th place that has been found in the urine. However, this metabolic secretion is only 0.03% of the dose used. The enzyme related to this metabolic formation is Cytochrom P450 3A4 (CYP3A4).
(Note) The common dose used in adults is 100 mg, 3 times/day.
