indications

Bunpil drugs are indicated in the following cases:

  • Fungal skin, tinea and cantida fungal disease.

    ATC code: D01AE15.

Terbinafin is a synthetic derivative of Allylamin with broad -spectrum anti -fungal activity. The drug prevents Ergosterol biosynthesis (the main component of the fungal cell membrane) due to inhibition of enzyme Squalen Monooxyhenase (Squalen 2.3-Epoxydase).

This leads to the accumulation of squalen (is the substance of the enzyme) in the fungal cell and the deficiency of sterol, especially Ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane, are the factors that cause fungal cell death.

Terbinafin has the effect of killing fungi or mushroom pliers depending on the concentration of drugs and experimental mushrooms. The drug has a fungal activity for many mushrooms, including skin fungus such as Trichophyton (eg trubrum, T.mentagrophytes, T.verrucosum), Microsporum Gypseum, Mnanum, Epidermophyton Flocosum, fibrosis such as Aspergillus; Mesopatotic mushrooms like blastomyces; Mold and yeast such as Candida Albicans, C.Parapsilosis and Scopularopsis Brevicaulis.

    pharmacokinetics

in the human body, less than 5% of the dose is absorbed after applying the drug on the spot. Therefore, the whole body effect is very light. The metabolites through biological metabolism have no antifungal effects and are excreted mainly through feces and urine. The sale time is 17 hours. There is no evidence of drug accumulation.
