Indications

Cefimbrano 100 drugs indicated treatment in the following cases:

Inhabited urinary tract infections due to sensitive strains of E.coli or Proteus Mirabilis and a few cases due to other Gram -negative bacilli such as Citrobacter spp., Entobacter spp Sense. and streptococcus pneumonia or Haemophylus influenzae or moraxella catrhalis. Typhi (including multi -resistant strains). Drugs have bactericidal effects.

Cefixim's bactericidal mechanism is similar to other cephalosporins attached to target proteins (penicillin -mounted proteins that inhibit mucopeptide synthesis in bacterial cell walls).

Bacterial resistance mechanism of bacteria is to reduce the pressure of cefixim for target protein or reduce the permeability of bacterial cell membranes for drugs.

How to use

Cefimbrano 100 drugs are taken orally.

Dosage

Adults: usually use 400mg/day, can be taken once or divided into 2 times 12 hours apart.

Treatment of non -complicated gonorrhea caused by Neisseria Gonorrhoeae (including beta - lactamase strains): Take 400mg (single once, coordinate with an effective antibiotic with Chlamydia that is likely to be infected.

With spreading gonorrhea, the beginning of the injection with Ceftriaxon, Cefotaxim, Ceftizoxim or Spectinomycin: Adults drink 400mg, 2 times/day, for 7 days.

Children> 12 years old or weight> 50kg: dose like adults.

Children 6 months - 12 years: 8mg/kg/day, taken 1 time a day or divided 2 times, each time 12 hours apart.

Treatment time:

Depending on the type of infection, it is advisable to last 48 - 72 hours after the symptoms of infections have gone.

Normal treatment time for uncomplicated urinary tract infections and upper respiratory tract infections (if due to streptococcus group A, beta blood -soluble: must be treated for at least 10 days to prevent heart low): 5 - 10 days, lower respiratory tract infections and medium inflammation: 10 - 14 days.

People with kidney failure:

Patients with creatinine clearance exceeding 60ml/minute: No dose adjustment.

Patients with creatinine clearance equal or less than 60ml/minute: Dosage and number of drug use must be adjusted depending on the degree of renal failure.

Adults have creatinine clearance 21 - 60ml/minute: 300mg/day, if the clearinine clearance is less than 20ml/minute: use the dose of cefixim 200mg/day. Because Cefixim does not disappear through hemolysis, people with dialysis and peritoneal filtering do not need to add Cefixim dose.
