Uses

Indications

Cefimbrano 100 drugs indicated treatment in the following cases:

  • Inhabited urinary tract infections due to sensitive strains of E.coli or Proteus Mirabilis and a few cases due to other Gram -negative bacilli such as Citrobacter spp., Entobacter spp Sense. and streptococcus pneumonia or Haemophylus influenzae or moraxella catrhalis. Typhi (including multi -resistant strains). Drugs have bactericidal effects.

Cefixim's bactericidal mechanism is similar to other cephalosporins attached to target proteins (penicillin -mounted proteins that inhibit mucopeptide synthesis in bacterial cell walls).

Bacterial resistance mechanism of bacteria is to reduce the pressure of cefixim for target protein or reduce the permeability of bacterial cell membranes for drugs.

Cefixim has high durability with the hydrolysis of beta - lactamase encoded by the gene located on plasmid and chromosom. Sustainability with Cefixim's beta lactamase is higher than Cefaclor, Cefoxitin, Cefuroxim, Cephalexin, Cephradin.

    pharmacokinetics

    absorption:

After taking a single dose of Cefixim, only 30-50% of the dose is absorbed through the digestive tract, regardless of or after or after meals, although the absorption rate can be reduced when taken with meals.

The drug in the form of oral fluid is better absorbed in the form of tablets. The absorption of drugs is relatively slow.

The peak concentration in plasma is 2 micrograms/ml (for a dose of 20mg), 3.7 micrograms/ml (for 400mg dose) and reach after taken 2 - 6 hours.

Half lifetime in plasma is usually about 3 to 4 hours and can last for kidney failure.

    Distribution:

About 65% Cefixim in the blood is attached to plasma proteins.

Information about Cefixim's distribution in tissues and fluids is limited.

Currently there is no adequate data on the concentration of drugs in cerebrospinal fluid. Drugs through placenta.

    Era:

The drug may reach relatively high concentrations in bile and urine. About 20% of oral doses are eliminated in the form of unchanged urine within 24 hours.

There are up to 60% of oral doses without kidneys. There is no evidence of metabolism but there may be a part of the drug eliminated from the bile into the feces. The drug is not equal to the hemolysis.
