Indications

Cefprozil 250-UST is indicated in the following cases:

  • Treatment Mid-inflammatory disease acute.
  • Treatment sore throat , tonsillitis. Moraxella Catatrhalis (including beta-lactamase production strains). Calculated by S. Pneumoniae, H. Influenzae (including beta-lactamase production strains), or M. CatVrhalis (including beta-lactamase production strains). Disclosure. Under the hydrolysis of beta lactamase, Cefprozil is more stable than Cefaclor.

    Cefprozil has the following anti-bacterial effects: Gram-aerobic grams: Staphylococcus aureus (including beta-lactamase production strains), Streptococcus Pneumonia, Streptococcus Pyogenes, Enterococcus Dans, Enterococcus Faecalis, Listeria monocytogenes, Monocytogenes, Listeria monocytogenes Staphylococcus Epidermidis, Staphylococcus Saprophyticus, Staphylococcus Wameri, Streptococcus Agalactiae, monkeptococci (group C, D, F, and G).

    Note: Cefprozil does not work on Staphylococci, Enterococcus Faecium Methicillin resistance, and most of acinetobacter, Entobacter, Morganella Morganii, Proteus Vulgaris, Providacia, Pseudomonas and Serratia.

    Aerobic grams: Haemophilus Influenza (including beta-lactamase production strains), Moraxella (Branhamellà) CatVrhalis (including beta-lactamase production strains), Citrobacter Diversus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella Pneumonia, Neensseria (Including beta-lactamase production strains), Proteus Mirabilis, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Vibrio spp.

    Anaerobic bacteria: Prevotella (Bacteroides) Melaninogenicus, Clostridium difficile, Clostridium perfringens, Fusobacterium spp., Peptostreptoccus spp., Propionibacterium acnes.

    Note: Most strains of the Bacteroides Fragilis group are resistant to Cefprozil.

    Children:

  • Sinusitis: Children> 13 years old: 250 mg every 12 hours in 10 days.

  • Patients with liver failure:

    No dose adjustments for patients with liver failure.

    Patients with renal failure:

    No dose adjustment for patients with creatinine clearance> 30 ml/min.
