Uses
indications
Cetirizin 10mg Domesco drugs are indicated in the following cases:
Cetirizine inhibits the early stage of allergic reactions through histamine intermediaries and also reduces the relocation of inflammatory cells and reduces the release of intermediate substances at the late stage of the allergic reaction.
Pharmacokinetics
absorption
The drug is absorbed quickly after drinking. The peak concentration is at equilibrium at 0.3 µg/ml, achieved after 1.0 ± 0.5 hours. Oral use changes when taking the drug with food.
Distribution
Expression distribution volume is 0.5 l/kg. The associated ratio with plasma protein is 90 - 96%. The drug in breast milk, but almost does not go through the barrier of blood - brain.
Metabolism
The drug is not first metabolized through the liver.
Era:
About 2/3 of the dose is exported in the form of unchanged urine. Selling plasma waste time is about 10 hours.
Cetirizin has a linear dynamic at the dose of 5 - 60 mg.
pharmacokinetics in special subjects
kidney failure
The pharmacokinetics of the same drug in healthy volunteers and patients with mild renal impairment (CLCR> 40 ml/minute). Patients with renal impairment level have just had a 3 times higher selling time and a 70% decrease in clearance compared to healthy volunteers.
Patients with hemorrhage (CLCR
Hepatic failure
Patients with chronic liver failure (liver cell failure, bile stasis and cirrhosis) use the 10 mg Cetirizine or 20 mg doses that increase the selling time of 50% and the clearance of 40% compared to healthy people. The dose adjustments need to be adjusted in patients with liver failure if there is simultaneous kidney failure.
Elderly
Use a 10 mg oral dosage, the selling time increased by about 50% and the clearance decreased by 40% in 16 older patients compared to young people. The decline in the clearance of cetirizine in older volunteers is associated with renal function impairment.
Children
The sale time of Cetirizine in children 6-12 years old is about 6 hours and in children 2-6 years old is 5 hours. In newborns and babies who are only 6 - 24 months old, the sale time is reduced to 3.1 hours.

How to use
Cetirizin 10mg drug used oral. Although food can reduce the peak concentration in the blood and extend the time to reach the peak concentration, it does not affect the level of blood absorption, so it can be taken with or outside the meal.
Dosage
Dosage: 10 mg x 1 time/day (1 tablet).
Elderly: There is no data proposal to reduce the dose in the elderly with normal kidney function.
Patients with average to severe renal failure: There is no data on effective/safety ratio in patients with renal impairment. Because cetirizine is excreted mainly through the kidneys, in case of irreversible treatment, the period of drug use must be based on individual kidney function.
Normal kidney function, CLCR ≥ 80 ml/minute: 10 mg x 1 time/day.
Mild kidney failure, Clcr 50 - 79 ml/minute: 10 mg x 1 time/day.
Average renal failure, Clcr 30 - 49 ml/minute: 5 mg x 1 time/day.
Severe renal failure, CLCR
Endenical renal failure or must be separated, CLCR
Patients with hepatic failure: need to adjust the dose in patients with liver failure if simultaneously kidney failure.
Children over 12 years: 10 mg x 1 time/day (1 tablet).
Children 6 - 12 years old: 5 mg x 2 times/day (half tablets 2 times/day).
Children under 6 years of age: Use other dosage forms to have the right dose.
In children with renal failure: Dosage should be adjusted depending on the patient based on the clearance of the kidney, age and weight of the patient.
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist. What to do when overdose? Up to now, there is no specific antidote.
What to do when you forget a dose? However, if close to the next dose, skip the forgotten dose and take the next dose at the time as planned. Note that it should not be used double the prescribed dose.
