Uses
indications
Clabact 500 drugs are indicated in the following cases:
Clarithromycin has an antibacterial effect due to a specific location on the subunit of 50S ribosome units of sensitive bacteria, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. The minimum inhibitory concentration (mic) of clarithromycin is 2-4 times lower than the mic of erythromycin. Clarithromycin's 14-hydroxy metabolites after drinking also have antibacterial activity with stronger effects on Haemophilus influenzae.
Clarithromycin is highly effective against Gram -positive and gram -negative bacteria, aerobic and anaerobic. Clarithromycin has a strong effect on: Chlamydia Trachomatis, Ureaplasma Urealyticum, Toxoplasma Gondii, Mycobacterium Avium, Mycobacterium Leprae, Mycobacterium Kansasii, Mycobacterium chelonae, mycobacterium Fortuitum, mycobacterium Intracellulare and stronger than other macrolides for mycobacterium avium intracellular (mai = mycobacterium avium intracellulaire).
Pharmacokinetics
absorption
Clarithromycin is absorbed quickly and well through the gastrointestinal tract after drinking. Food and acidic environment in the stomach do not affect the bioavailability of clarithromycin. The peak concentration of Clarithromycin and the main metabolite 14-hydroxy clarithromycin is about 0.6-0.7 mcg/ml after taking a single dose 250 mg.
Metabolism - except for
Metabolic drugs are high in the liver and release stool through biliary tract. A significant part is discharged through urine. Clarithromycin waste time is about 3-4 hours when the patient takes 250 mg Clarithromycin, 2 times/day and about 5-7 hours when the patient takes the dose of 500 mg, 2 times/day. The selling time is prolonged in people with renal failure.
