Indications
Claminat drugs are indicated for use in cases of bacterial infection treatment due to the following sensitive bacterial strains:
Clavulanic acid produced by the fermentation of Streptomyces Clavuligerus, with B - lactam structure similar to penicilin nucleus, inhibited B - lactamase due to the majority of Gram -negative and staphylococcus bacteria born.
Clavulanic acid helps amoxicillin not B -lactamase, and expands the antibacterial spectrum of amoxicillin effectively to many common bacteria that have resisted amoxicillin, resistant penicillins and cephalosporins. Amoxicillin and clavulanic acid are bactericidal.
The antibacterial spectrum of the drug includes:
Gram -positive bacteria:
Gram -negative bacteria:

adults and children over 40 kg:
In case of severe infections and respiratory infections: 01 pack x 3 times/day for 05 days.
Patients with renal impairment adjust the dose depending on the clearinine clearance:
Normal dose: 20 mg amoxicillin/kg weight/day, divided into several times 08 hours apart.
Treatment of otitis media, sinusitis, lower respiratory infections and severe bacterial infections, usual doses: 40 mg of amoxicillin/kg should be severe/day, divided into 08 hours apart, for 05 days.
Dosage for children with renal failure:
do when overdose? The acute reactions occur depending on the hypersensitivity of each individual. The risk is definitely hyperkalemia when taking a very high dose because clavulanic acid is used in the form of potassium salt.
Symptoms:
Abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea. A small number of patients with rash, excitement or drowsiness.
Management:
In case of emergency, call the 115 emergency center immediately or go to the nearest local medical station.

Uncommon: hyperlypes, rash, hepatitis and jaundice, transaminase increases.
Rare: Anaphylaxis reaction, leukopenia, hemolytic anemia, fake colitis, Stevens - Johnson syndrome, interstitial nephritis.
Instructions on how to handle ADR:
If allergic reactions are available, amoxicillin must be stopped and immediately emergency with adrenalin, oxygen breathing, intravenous corticosteroids and ventilation, including endotracheal intubation and never being treated with penicillin or cephalosporin again.
fake colitis:
Notify the doctor with unwanted effects when using the drug.
Warnings

Contraindicated
CLAMINAT CHAPTER CONCLUSION in the following cases:
Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug or antibiotics group penicillin, cephalosporin.
History of jaundice.
liver failure.
Patients with urinary phenylketon (due to drug containing aspartam).
Be cautious when used
Signs and symptoms of cholestasis jaundice occur rarely when taking the drug but may be severe. However, these symptoms are often recovered and will end after 6 weeks of stopping treatment.
Severe hypersensitivity reactions can sometimes lead to death (anaphylaxis) that have been reported in patients using penicillin antibiotics.
There has been an erythema (diverse) rash that comes with lymphadenopathy (mononoconemosis of infection) in patients using amoxicillin. Should avoid using drugs if suspected of monomeric hyperlemen.
Must periodically check the hematology, liver and kidney function during treatment.
Taking drugs for prolonged drugs sometimes develops resistant bacteria.
Use drugs for women during pregnancy and lactation
Pregnant women:
Experimental research on the reproductive process of animals (mice) has proven when using oral preparations do not cause deformities.
However, because there is little experience in using preparations for pregnant women, it is necessary to avoid using drugs in pregnant women, especially in the first 3 months of pregnancy, except for the necessary case prescribed by a physician.
Women who are breastfeeding:
A very small amount of drugs that can be diffused into breast milk, causing a risk of feeling in the child. Should consider using medicine for this object. Notify the doctor if the patient is breastfeeding.
The effect of driving and operating machinery
The drug does not affect the ability to drive and operate machinery.
Interactive drug
The drug can cause prolonged bleeding and blood clotting time.
The drug can reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives, so warns patients to know this.
Probenecid reduces amoxicillin elimination but does not affect the elimination of clavulanic acid.
Nifedipine increases amoxicillin absorption.
Patients with hyperuricemia when using allopurinol along with amoxicillin will increase the ability of amoxicillin.
Medication interactions can affect the activity of the drug or cause side effects.
Patients should notify the doctor or pharmacist a list of the drugs and functional foods you are using. Do not use or increase or decrease the dose of the drug without the guidance of a doctor.
Pliers such as fusidic acid, chloramphenicol, tetracyclin can reduce the bactericidal effect of amoxicilin.
Amoxicillin reduces methotrexate secretion, increases toxicity on the gastrointestinal tract and hematopoietic system.
