Elacox 400 are indicated in the following cases:

Etodolac is well absorbed, the peak concentration of plasma is reached in about 80 ± 30 minutes. Etodolac's absorption level is not affected when used after meals, but when used simultaneously with the maximum concentration of food, it is reduced by about 1.5 times and the time to achieve this concentration increases from 1.4 to 3.8 hours.
Etodolac's average distribution volume is approximately 390 ml/kg, 99% combined with plasma proteins, mainly albumin.
Etodolac is metabolized mainly in the liver. Elimination mainly through the kidneys. Etodolac's waste sale time (T1/2) is 6.4 hours. Elimination through stool is about 16% of the dose.

How to useElacox 400 used in or immediately after eating.
Dosage
Acute pain treatment: 200 - 400mg every 6-8 hours. Up to 1000mg/day. In some patients used up to 1200mg/day.
Treatment of chronic pain: starting 800-1200mg divided 2-4 times/day, maintaining 600-1200mg divided 2-4 times/day.
Treatment of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis: Take 400mg 2 times/day. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 1200mg/day.

Periodically check hemoglobin and hematocrit to detect anemia that can sometimes occur in patients using nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs.
Patients using Elacox 400 may give a false positive reaction to bilirubin, urine due to the presence of Etodolac phenolic metabolites in urine.

Pregnant and lactating women
Pregnant women:
The drug can be harmful to the fetus. Do not use Etodolac for the last 3 months of pregnancy.
Do not use Etodolac during pregnancy unless the doctor is indicated.
breastfeeding women:
There is no information on whether Etodolac is secreted into breast milk or not, as well as can harm the breastfeeding or not. Therefore, do not use drugs in breastfeeding women.
Drug interaction
Etodolac's concentrations can reduce the concentration of Etodolac.
Use at the same time as aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs that increase the effects of the drug.
When used with warfarin, it reduces the binding to the protein of this substance.
Etodolac when used with cycloserin, digoxin, lithium, methotrexate will reduce the clearance of these substances and increase toxicity.
