Uses

indications

Eumovate 5 drugs are indicated in the following cases:

Reduce the symptoms of inflammation and itching of skin diseases that respond to steroids in adults, the elderly, children and children with drugs, which are on -site corticosteroids.

These diseases include:

  • Atopic dermatitis (indigo);
  • Allergic or irritating dermatitis;
  • Seborrheic dermatitis;

    Diaper rash;

  • Dermatitis due to contact with light;
  • Out -inflammation;

  • Ragbits;
  • The reactions caused by insects.
  • Eumovate can be used to maintain alternatingly maintained between local steroid treatments.

    Pharmacokology

    corticosteroids used in place as an anti -inflammatory substance through many mechanisms to inhibit the late -phase allergic reaction, including reducing the density of mast cells, dynamic reduction and eucalyptus activity, reducing cytokin production from lymphocytes, mono cells, mast cells and eosinophilic cells, and inhibiting arachidonic acid metabolism.

    Local corticosteroids have anti -inflammatory, anti -itching and vasoconstriction properties.

    pharmacokinetics

    absorption:

    Local corticosteroids can absorb the whole body when exposed to normal healthy skin. Local corticosteroid absorption level depends on many factors such as the excipients of the drug and the intactness of the skin epidermis fence. Closed bandages, inflammation and/other diseases on the skin may also increase the absorption through the skin.

    Distribution:

    The use of pharmacological criteria to evaluate the body's systemic exposure is necessary because the circulating concentration is lower than the concentration that can detect the drug.

    Metabolism:

    Once the skin is absorbed, topical corticosteroids undergo a pharmacokinetic process like corticosteroids. The drug is metabolized mainly in the liver.

    Era:

    local corticosteroids are eliminated through the kidneys. In addition, some corticosteroids and their metabolites are eliminated through the bile.

    Preceptic safety

    Cancer properties:

    Long -term studies on animals have not been conducted to evaluate the ability to produce cancer of Clobetasone used on the spot.

    gene toxicity:

    Clobetasone does not cause mutations on in vito and in vivo.

    affect fertility:

    The effect of clobetasone is used on the spot on the fertility that has not been evaluated in animals.

    Pregnant animals:

    Use Clobetasone on the spot for large mice in doses of 0.5 or 5 mg/kg/day, and use subcutaneously for mice with doses ≥ 3 mg/kg/day or rabbits in doses of ≥ 30 μgs/kg/day when these animals are pregnant causing abnormal embryos including open palate.

    Before taking Eumovate Cream GSK cream reduces symptoms of inflammation and itching of skin diseases (5g)

    How to use

    apply on the skin, apply a thin layer and rub gently enough to completely cover the sick skin.

    Dosage

    Adults, elderly people, children and children:

    Cream is especially suitable for wet or leaky skin surfaces.

    Atopic dermatitis (eczema):

  • Apply to the sick 1 or 2 times a day until the condition is improved, then reduce the number of use or switch to lower -effective drug treatment. After each medication, keep the drug sufficiently absorbed into the skin before taking a skin softening.
  • If the condition is worse or not improved within 4 weeks, it is advisable to re -evaluate the treatment and diagnostic method.
  • Once the disease is controlled, local corticosteroid therapy should be gradually stopped and continue to be maintained with a skin softening.

    Previous skin diseases may relapse when stopping using local corticosteroid drugs, especially highly effective drugs.

    Children:

    Children often suffer from unwanted and more body effects when taking local corticosteroids and generally requires shorter treatment time and drugs with weaker potential than adults. Caution should be used when using Eumovate 5 to ensure the minimum amount of drugs and still effective treatment.

    Elderly:

    Clinical studies do not identify the difference in response to the treatment between elderly and young patients.

    If the body's absorption occurs, the elimination of drugs in the elderly may be slower due to the frequency of impaired liver or kidney function in these patients more. Therefore, the minimum amount of drugs should be used in the shortest treatment period to achieve the desired clinical treatment effect.

    Hepatic/kidney failure:

    In the case of body absorption (when using the drug on a wide skin surface for a long time), liver/kidney failure may slow down the metabolism and elimination process, thereby increasing the risk of systemic toxicity. Therefore, the minimum amount of drugs should be used in the shortest treatment period to achieve the desired clinical treatment effect.

    Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.What to do when overdose? Acute overdose almost does not occur, but in case of chronic overdose or drug abuse, adrenal can occur.

    In case of an overdose, it is advisable to stop using Eumovate 5 gradually by reducing the number of drugs or replacement with a lower validity of corticosteroids due to the risk of glucocorticosteroid deficiency.

    More intensive controls should be indicated based on clinical or instructions of the National Poison Control Center if any.

    What to do when you forget a dose? However, if close to the next dose, skip the forgotten dose and take the next dose at the time as planned. Note that it should not be used double the prescribed dose.

    Side Effects

    When using Eumovate 5, you may experience unwanted effects (ADR).

    Very rare, ADR

  • Infections and parasites infection: opportunistic infections.
  • The immune system disorders: Hypersensitivity (urticaria, burning in contact skin, rash, itching, erythema).

  • Endocrine disorders: Inhibit the hypothalamus-Yen-Theme (HPA axis): Cushing syndrome characteristics (for example, round face like the moon, obesity in the center), slow weight gain/growth slowly in children, osteoporosis, glaucoma, hyperglycemia/glucose, cataract, hypertension, weight loss, endogenous cortisol.
  • Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: allergic contact dermatitis, urticaria, skin atrophy, skin pigmentation changes, severely added hidden, burning symptoms in contact skin, hairy, rash, itching, red rash.

    Instructions on how to handle ADR:

    Notice to the doctor or pharmacist the harmful reactions encountered when using the drug.

    Warnings

    Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.

    Contraindicated

    Eumovate medicine 5 Contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Uncount skin infections (eg herpes simplex, chickenpox);
  • Rosacea red acne disease;
  • Acne;
  • itching but not inflammation.

    Be cautious when using

    should be cautious when using Eumovate 5 in patients with a history of hypersensitivity with corticosteroids or any excipients of the drug. Local hypersensitivity reactions may be similar to the symptoms of treatment.

    Cushing adrenal (Cushing syndrome) and reversible inhibition of the hypothalamus-Yen-Theme (HPA axis) can lead to glucocorticosteroid deficiency in some patients, this is the result of an increase in the absorption of topical steroid body.

    When detecting one of the above manifestations, stop taking the drug gradually by reducing the number of times or replacing with a lower effect of corticosteroids. Sudden stopping drugs can lead to glucocorticosteroid deficiency.

    Risk factors of increased body effects include:

  • The effect and formula of the form of steroids;
  • Time of exposure to the drug;
  • Use drugs on a wide surface area;
  • Use on icy skin for example: On the intimidated area or icy skin area (in children's diapers can be acting as when closed bandage);
  • Increase the horny classification;
  • Use on thin skin like face;
  • Use on torn skin or other cases when the barrier protects the skin damaged;
  • Children and babies can absorb a large amount of corticosteroids than adults, so it is easy to experience unwanted effects. This is because children have immature skin barriers and surface area ratio compared to higher weight than adults.

    Children: In children and children under 12 years old, if they can avoid prolonged treatment with local corticosteroids, because adrenal inhibition can be more likely to occur.

    The risk of an infection of the skin is closed: warm, moist at the folds of the skin or when the skin is icy to facilitate the infection. Need to clean the skin before bandaging.

    Use drugs on the face: Do not use the drug on the face because this area is prone to skin atrophy.

    Use the drug on the eyelids: If applying the drug to the eyelids, it is necessary to be cautious to ensure that the drug does not enter the eyes because the contact many times can lead to cataracts and glaucoma.

    Infections attached: appropriate antibiotic treatment when inflammatory lesions are treating local corticosteroids. When there are signs of widespread infection, local corticosteroids need to be stopped and appropriate antibiotics.

    Chronic ulcer: Local corticosteroids are sometimes used to treat dermatitis around the chronic ulcer. However, this use may come with the occurrence of more hypersensitivity reactions and increase the risk of local infections.

    Swallowing the wrong drug: The drug is only used on the skin. This preparation and all other drugs should be out of reach of children. In the case of swallowing drugs, immediately finding professional assistance or contacting the National Poisoning Center.

    The ability to drive and operate machinery

    There has been no investigation to investigate the effect of Eumovate 5 on driving or the ability to operate machinery. There is no adverse effect on these activities from the unwanted effects of Eumovate 5 used on the spot.

    Pregnancy

    data on the use of Eumovate 5 in pregnant women is limited.

    Local corticosteroid use for pregnant animals can cause abnormalities for fetal development. The relationship of this finding with people has not been established. Consider the use of Eumovate 5 during pregnancy only when the expected benefits for the mother outstanding the risk of the fetus. Should use the least amount of drugs in the shortest treatment period.

    The period of breastfeeding

    has not established the safety of topical corticosteroids in the nursing women.

    It is still unknown whether the use of local corticosteroids can cause enough body absorption to excrete an amount of drugs that can be detected in breast milk.

    Should only consider using Eumovate 5 during breastfeeding when the expected benefits for the mother outperform the risk of children.

    If you use the drug during breastfeeding, do not apply it to the breast to avoid swallowing the drug.

    Drug interaction

    Concomitant use with CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. Ritonavir, Itraconazole) showed that these drugs inhibit metabolism of corticosteroids leading to increased body contact. The degree of this interaction is clinically related, depending on the dose, the sugar uses corticosteroids and the effect of CYP3A4 inhibitors.

    Storage

    Store cream below 30 ° C.
