Uses

Indications

Eyedin eye medication is an antibiotic treated in place in eye infections caused by sensitive bacteria that cause eyelid inflammation, keratitis, conjunctivitis, vaginal inflammation, ...

When using Tobramycin eye drops, bacterial response should be monitored for local antibiotic therapy. Clinical studies have shown that Tobramycin is safe and effective when used for children.

Pharmacokology

In vitro studies show that Tobramycin works against the following bacterial strains: Staphylococci, including S. Aureus and S. Epidermidis (positive coagulase and negative coagulase), including resistant strains with penicillin.

Streptococci, including a number of group A hemolytic strikes, several hemolytic strains and a few streptococcus pneumoniae strains.

Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Escherichia Coli, Klebsiella Pneumoniae, Entobacter Aerogenes, Proteus Mirabilis, Morganella. Morganii, most of them Proteus Vulgaris, Hemophilus Influenzae and H.AGyptius, Moraxella Lacunata, Acinetobacter Calcoaceticus and some types of neisseria.

Studies on bacterial sensitivity shows that in some cases of gentamicin resistant bacteria are still sensitive to Tobramycin.

pharmacokinetics

There is no data on the level of body absorption of Tobramycin eye drops. However, it is known that there may be a whole body absorption for drugs used at the eye.
