  • Chronic asthma treatment including children and adults, when combined treatment (bronchodilators and spray corticosteroids) are appropriate.

Salmeterol is a beta-2 sympathetic receptor owner who has a long and high choice effect with a long string that connects to the exiper (EXO-Site) of the receptor. Salmeterol produces bronchodilator effects.

    fluticasone propionate:

At the recommended dose, a dose of Fluticasone Propionate sprayed containing strong anti -inflammatory glucocorticoid activity in the lungs, reducing symptoms and drama of asthma, and fewer side effects when using corticosteroids.

    pharmacokinetics

    salmeterol:

Only act at the lungs, so the plasma concentration does not indicate the impact in treatment. The drug is in the form of aerosol, bronchodilator appears after 2-3 minutes, up to 5 to 15 minutes and lasts 3-4 hours. Low plasma concentration (treatment dose is approximately 200 PG/ml or less), reaching a maximum within 2-4 hours.

about 72% of the inhaled pills excreted in the urine within 24 hours, of which 28% did not change and 44% have metabolized. Half -life elimination of the drug is 3.8 hours. Due to the low plasma concentration, the aerosol is less likely to cause side effects than the tablet or injecting. Therefore, the aerosol type can be used in patients with hyperthyroidism, arrhythmia, coronary circulation disorders, hypertension, diabetes, patients are taking Monoamin oxydase inhibitors.

Fluticasone Propionate regular spray in healthy people is about 10%. The rest of the spray can be swallowed but it affects the whole body very little due to the ability to dissolve into low fluid and metabolism before absorption, resulting in oral use about 1%.

    fluticasone propionate:

The properties of fluticasone propionate are expressed by high plasma clearance (1150 ml/min), wide distribution integral (about 300L) and half -life semi -waste approximately 8 hours. Protein cohesion is 91%. Fluticason is quickly excreted from the circulatory system, and is converted mainly into carboxylic acid that is no longer active by Cytochrome P450 enzyme CYP3A4.

The renal clearance for Fluticasone Propionate is negligible. Nearly 5% of the dose is eliminated through the kidneys mainly in the form of metabolism. Should be cautious when using embryos suitable for CYP3A4 inhibitors already know because there is a risk of increasing the level of fluticasone propionate.
