Treatment of infections caused by sensitive bacteria in the following cases:

Intractive respiratory infections include: otitis media, sinusitis, dental infections, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, pneumonia, acute bronchitis and acute batches of chronic bronchitis.

Urinary tract infections - genital: cystitis, nephritis - pyelonephritis, urethritis, gonorrhea.

Skin and soft tissue infections: boils, pus, impetigo.

Pharmacokology

Haginat 125mg with the main active ingredient is Cefuroxim, antibiotics of Cephalosporin group 2nd generation, used in the form of cefuroxim acetyl. The drug acts by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell membranes. The bactericidal effect of Cefuroxim is very effective and featured on many common pathogens, including beta-lactamase/cephalosporinase strains of both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, especially Cefuroxim is very durable with many beta-lactamase enzymes of Gram-negative bacteria.

Cefuroxim has a good and anaerobic gram -negative and anaerobic activity, including most staphylococcus strains of penicilinase, and gram -negative antibacterial activity. Cefuroxim has a high activity, so the minimum inhibitor (mic) has low inhibitors for streptococcus strains (group A, B, C and G), gonococcus and meningoccus strains. Initially Cefuroxim also had low mic for gonococcus strains, Moraxella CatVrhalis, Haemophilus Influenzae and Klebsiella spp. Beta-lactamase secretion. But now, in Vietnam, many bacteria have been resistant to Cefuroxim, so the mic of the drug for these strains has changed. En The strains of Clostridium Difficile, Pseudomonas spp., Campylobacter spp., Acinetobacter Calcoaceticus, Legionella spp. All are not sensitive to Cefuroxim. Staphylococcus aureus strains, Staphylococcus epidermidis resistant methicillin are resistant to cefuroxim. Listeria monocytogenes and most of the Enterococcus strains are also resistant to cefuroxim.

pharmacokinetics

After drinking, Cefuroxim Acetil quickly absorbed and hydrolyzed in the intestinal mucosa into Cefuroxim to be active and distributed to extracellular fluid. Good absorption drug when taken immediately after meals. Cefuroxim is widely distributed throughout the body, including pleural fluid, phlegm, bone, fluid and aquatic fluid, passing through the fence of the brain - inflamed brain. The drug through the placenta and excreted through breast milk. Cefuroxim is not metabolized and eliminated in the formless form, about 50% through glomerular filtration and about 50% through excretion in the renal tubules. The drug is high in urine. Cefuroxim only excreted in bile with very small amounts.

How to use

oral drugs. Mix medicine with sufficient water (about 5 - 10ml of water for 1 pack), stir before drinking.

Inexperienced in using Cefuroxim in children under 3 months old.

For patients with renal failure

Cefuroxim is mainly excreted through the kidneys. Recommendation of Cefuroxim's dose reduction to compensate for delayed elimination in patients with significant impaired renal function. Cefuroxim is effectively removed by dialysis. The recommended dose for patients with renal failure is as follows:

Creatinine clearance (ml/minute) Selling time T1/2 (now)
Dosage recommended ≥ 30 Dosage (standard dose from 125 - 500mg/time, 2 times/day) Hemorrhage 2 - 4 Standard doses for each individual should be used continued after each dialysis

Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.

What to do when using overdose?

Most drugs only cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. However, it can cause an increase in nervous stimulation and seizures, especially in people with kidney failure.

Overdose

Protects the respiratory tract of the patient, supports ventilation and infusion. If developing convulsions, stop using the drug immediately; Anti -seizures may be used if clinically indicated. Hemorrhage can eliminate blood from the blood but most of the treatment is supporting or resolving symptoms.

What to do when you forget a dose? However, if close to the next dose, skip the forgotten dose and take the next dose at the time as planned. Note that it should not be used double the prescribed dose.

Side Effects

When using Haginat 125mg, you may experience unwanted effects (ADR).

Unwanted effects because Cefuroxim is usually light and transient.

Common
  • diarrhea, lumpy skin.
  • Anaphylaxis reactions, candidiasis infections. Eosin hyperpses, leukopenia, neutropenia, positive Coombs test. Nausea, vomiting. Urticaria, itching. Increase serum creatinine.
  • Rare

  • Fever, hemolytic anemia. Fake colitis. Polymorphic erythematosus, Stevens - Johnson syndrome, poisoned epidermal necrosis. Cholest jaundice, slightly increased AST and ALT liver enzymes. Kidney toxicity has temporary hyperemia, blood creatinine, interstitial nephritis. The seizure (if the dose is high and the kidney failure), headache, agitation. Joint pain.
  • Instructions on how to handle ADR

Notify the doctor with unwanted effects when using the drug.

    Warnings

Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.

    Contraindicated

Haginat medicine 125mg contraindicated in the following cases:

    Hypersensitivity to cephalosporin antibiotics.

    Caution when using

Pay special attention when used for patients who have allergic reactions with penicillin.

Cefuroxim rarely causes renal function change, should still check the kidneys when treated with cefuroxim, especially in severe patients taking the maximum doses. Be careful when giving patients simultaneously with strong diuretic drugs, because it can have a adverse effect on kidney function.

Cefuroxim is mainly excreted through the kidneys. Recommendation of Cefuroxim's dose reduction to compensate for delayed elimination in patients with significant impaired renal function. Cefuroxim is effectively removed by dialysis.

Long -term Cefuroxim can make unnecessary strains overexplicable. Need to follow the patient carefully. If serious superinfection during treatment, medication must be stopped.

Pay attention to fake colitis in patients with severe diarrhea during or after antibiotics. Caution in patients with a history of colitis.

Inexperienced in using Cefuroxim for babies under 3 months old.

The ability to drive and operate machinery

rarely affects the ability to drive and operate machinery.

    Pregnancy

Medicines through the placenta, cautious when used for this object.

    Breastfeeding period

The drug is excreted through breast milk, cautious when used for this object.

    Medicinal interaction

should use Cefuroxim at least 2 hours away from antacids or H2 inhibitors because these drugs increase the gastric pH, reducing the bioavailability of cefuroxim. Cefuroxim simultaneous treatment with aminoglycosides or strong diuretics will cause kidney poisoning. Probenecid slowed down the cefuroxim excretion in the kidneys, making the cefuroxim concentration in plasma higher and longer saved.

    Storage

In a dry place, the temperature does not exceed 30 ° C, avoiding light.
