Indications

Hapenxin Kids 250 drugs are indicated in the following cases:

Treatment of bacterial infections caused by sensitive bacteria, does not specify the treatment of severe bacterial infections:

Respiratory infections, Ear ear, nose and throat: sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media, tooth infection, especially in the pharyngeal infection due to streptococci.

Skin infection, soft tissue and bone.

Urinary tract infections - genital: cystitis, gonorrhea and syphilis (when using inappropriate penicillin).

Preventive: recurrent urinary tract infections. Replace penicillin treatment for patients with heart disease must be reduced.

Pharmacokology

Hapenxin Kids 250 with the main active ingredient is Cephalexin, antibiotics of Cephalosporin group 1, have bactericidal effects by inhibiting bacterial cell synthesis. Cephalexin is sustainable with staphylococcus penicilinase, so the drug works for staphylococcus aureus strains of penicillin -resistant penicillin (or ampicilin).

cephalexin has the effect of printing in vitro on the following bacteria: Streptococcus beta blood-soluble, staphylococcus, including coagulase strains (+), coagulase (-) and penicilinase, Streptococcus Pneumoniae, some Escherichia coli, Protect Mirabilis, some Klebsella SPPSELLA SPPPALLI. Branhamella Catnrhalis, Shigella, Haemophilus Influenzae often reduces sensitivity. Cephalexin also works on the majority of ampicillin -resistant e.coli.

Most Enterococcus strains (Streptococcus Faecalis) and a few staphylococcus strains are resistant to cephalexin. Proteus indol is positive, some Enterobacter spp., Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Bacteroides spp. When testing in vitro, Staphylococcus shows cross -resistance between cephalexin and methicilin antibiotics.

Currently, there have been many resistance strains with cephalexin, so when used, it is necessary to pay attention to local resistance.

pharmacokinetics

cephalexin is almost completely absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and reaching the peak concentration of plasma at about 18mcg/ml after an hour with a dose of oral 500mg. Drinking cephalexin along with food can slow down the ability to absorb but the total amount of drugs absorb does not change.

15% Cephalexin dose is connected to plasma proteins. Cephalexin passes the placenta and excreted the breast milk with a low degree.

Sell waste time is 0.5 - 1.2 hours but longer in infants (5 hours) and increase when kidney function decreases. About 80% of the dosage excreted urine in the form of unchanged, so Cephalexin is also used to prevent recurrent urinary tract infections.

  • There is a history of anaphylaxis due to penicillin or other severe reactions through IgE.
  • Be cautious when using

cephalexin is usually well tolerated even in patients with penicillin allergies, but there are also very few cross -allergens.

Using long -term cephalexin can cause excessive growth of uncertainty bacteria (for example: Candida, Enterococcus, Clostridium difficile), in this case, stop the drug.

There has been a notice of fake colitis when using broad -spectrum antibiotics, paying attention to the diagnosis of this disease in patients with severe diarrhea during or after antibiotic use. Must reduce the dose when there is renal failure. Cephalexin may cause false positive when testing the urinary glucose with Benedict solution, fehling or clinitest tablets, which can be positive for Coombs and affect the quantitative creatinine with alkaline picrates.

The ability to drive and operate machinery

rarely affects the ability to drive and operate machinery.

    Pregnancy

There has been no signs of toxicity for pregnancy and monitoring. However, only cephalexin should only be used for pregnant people.

Cephalexin concentration in breast milk is very low but should still consider stopping breastfeeding during the time the mother takes medication.

    Medicinal interaction

Cephalosporin treatment simultaneously and high doses of doses and aminoglycosides or with strong diuretics that can harm the kidney function. Probenecid can increase and prolong plasma concentrations and toxicity of cephalosporin.
