Pharmacokological
Telmisartan is an Angiotensin II specific receptor antagonist (AT1 type), effective oral use. There is no Telmisartan's operating activity at the AT1 receptor. This cohesion is sustainable and prolonged.
pharmacokinetic
absorption
Telmisartan quickly absorbed. Telmisartan's absolute bioavailability is about 50%. Telmisartan's plasma plasma concentrations or food after 3 hours are similar.
When drinking with food, AUC has decreased but does not affect the effectiveness of treatment. Gender distinguishes plasma concentrations, plasma peak concentrations increased by 3 times and AUC increased by about 2 times in women compared to men, but did not affect the effectiveness of treatment.
Distribution
Telmisartan combines most with plasma proteins (> 99.5%). The average distribution volume in a stable state is 500L.
Metabolism
Telmisartan metabolizes by a reaction with glucuronid. The metabolites have no pharmacological effects. Telmisartan has a pharmaceutical properties reduced by excess 2 with the final sale time of over 20 hours.
Elimination
Telmisartan eliminates almost entirely through feces, largely in the formless form.
