gel drug klenzit c is indicated for local treatment for patients with acne .

Pharmacology

adapalene

Adapalene is a retinoid -like substance used to treat acne. It is a naphthoic derivative with a chain of methoxyphenyl adamantyl. Biochemical and pharmacological studies have shown that Adapalene has the ability to regulate cell differentiation, horny and inflammatory processes. These processes play an important role in the cause of acne.

Adapalene is specific to the receptor of the nuclear retinoic acid but does not bind to the protein cytosolic protein receptor. It is thought that adapalene topical skin has the effect of normalizing the differentiation of cystic epithelial cells leading to reducing the formation of small acne.

clindamycin

Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by attaching to the sale of ribosom units and affects the peptide chain initialization.

Research in test tubes shows that clindamycin inhibits all the cutibacterium acnes (propionibacterium acnes) cultured at the minimum inhibitor (mic) of 0.4 mcg/ ml, which has been seen diagonally between clindamycin and erythromycin.

pharmacokinetics

adapalene

The pharmacokinetics of Adapalene used on the skin have not been studied much. The treatment effect of the drug usually appears within 8 to 12 weeks from the beginning of treatment.

Adapalene is less absorbed through the skin, only a small amount (

clindamycin

When used on the skin, Clindamycin absorbs about 4 to 5%. After applying clindamycin many times, less than 0.4% of the total dose is exported in the urine.

Before taking Klenzit skin overtime - C acne treatment (15g)

How to use

Use on the skin: Wash the sick area, wipe dry and apply a thin layer of medicine.

used in the evening.

Dosage

Adults:

Apply a thin layer of the drug to the skin where the damaged skin has been washed and dried, once a day in the evening.

Do not use Klenzit C with topical topical medications that can cause irritation.

In the first weeks, applying the drug can observe the phenomenon of spreading acne. This is due to the effect of the drug on previous injuries that have not been seen and should not be considered as a reason to stop treatment. The treatment results are recorded after 8 to 12 weeks of taking the drug.

Used for the elderly:

Most of Adapalene's clinical studies are performed in patients aged 12 to 30 years old, so they do not include patients aged 65 and older and have not been determined to be responded to drugs in the elderly are different from young people.

Other clinical experiences do not show the difference in response to drugs in the elderly compared to young people. There is no specific information comparing the use of adapalene in the elderly compared to other age groups.

Elderly people often do not have acne, so the use of fish eggs may not need at this age.

used for children:

Safety and effectiveness of adapalene and clindamycin for children under 12 years of age have not been determined, so they should not use Klenzit g gel for this age.

Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.

What to do when overdose?

gel klenzit C is only used on the skin. If applying too much of these drugs will not achieve faster and better results, which can occur red skin, peeling or discomfort in the skin.

The dose of adapalene acute poisoning on mice and rats is greater than 10 mg/ kg. Drinking Adapalene for a long time can lead to side effects as the overdose of oral vitamin A.

Applying Clindamycin in addition to skin can absorb a sufficient amount of drugs to cause systemic effect.

What to do when you forget 1 dose? However, if close to the next dose, skip the forgotten dose and take the next dose at the time as planned. Note that it should not be used double the prescribed dose.

Side Effects

When using Klenzit C, you may experience unwanted effects (ADR).

Common

Red, flaky, dry skin , itching and burning skin, occurs in 10-40% of patients.

itching and burns skin immediately after applying.

Skin irritation, pain/ skin burning, erythema, severe burns and acne acne are notified at about 1% or less than 1% of patients.

Instructions on how to handle ADR:

These unwanted effects are most common in the first month of treatment and then gradually decrease in frequency and level. All unwanted effects due to the use of adapalene and clindamycin in clinical trials are recovered after stopping treatment.

Warnings

Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.

Contraindicated

Gel Klenzit C is contraindicated in the following cases:

Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to clindamycin, lincomycin, adapalene or any ingredient of the drug.

Patients with a history of intestinal inflammation The area or colitis with ulcerative ulcer or a history of colitis related to antibiotics.

Women pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Safety and effectiveness of adapalene and clindamycin combination for children under 12 years of age have not been determined, so they should not use Klenzit C for this age.

Be cautious when using

clindamycin when used oral and injection can cause severe colitis, which can lead to death. When using topical formula containing clindamycin may have antibiotic absorption from the skin surface.

There has been a notice of clindamycin using systemic or topical skin causing diarrhea, bloody diarrhea and colitis (including fake colitis).

diarrhea , colitis and fake colitis have been seen after a few weeks when stopping orally and injected clindamycin.

Caution:

Only use on the skin.

Some signs and symptoms in the skin such as erythema, dry skin, flaky, burning or itching may occur during treatment.

Avoid the cord in the eyes, lips, nose angle and mucosa.

Need to limit exposure to light, including incandescent light while using gel klenzit c.

It is possible to occur on the spot when using simultaneously with skin -to -skin preparations that can dry out the skin or skin irritation such as medical soap, detergent, soap and cosmetics that have a strong dry skin, highly alcoholic preparations, skin hunting agents, flavors or alkali.

Stop immediately if there is a hypersensitivity reaction to any component of the drug.

Do not apply the drug on the cut, scratched, the skin Eczema and severe burns.

Avoid contact with ultraviolet rays.

Be cautious when used for people with allergies.

The ability to drive and operate machinery

without information.

Pregnancy

adapalene :

The teratogenic effect - C: No observations of teratogenic effects in animal studies. There are no adequate studies and good control in pregnant women, so they do not use adapalene for pregnant women, unless the benefits are greater than the potential risk for the fetus.

clindamycin:

Effects of teratogenicity - Classes B: Studies on the reproduction of mice and mice using clindamycin along the subcutaneous and oral routes have been performed, showing no evidence of the danger to the fetus.

The period of breastfeeding

It is unknown to know adapalene and clindamycin when using the skin gel that goes into breast milk or not. However, when using Clindamycin by oral and injections, there is a drug in breast milk.

Due to the risk of serious adverse reactions to breastfed babies, it is necessary to consider the importance of the drug for the mother to decide to stop using Klenzit - C gel or stop breastfeeding.

Medicinal interaction

Because Adapalene can cause local irritation on some patients, it is necessary to be cautious when used at the same time with products that can cause local irritation (such as medical soap, detergent, soap and cosmetics that have strong dry skin drying effects, high alcohol products, skin hunting agents, flavorings or alkaline materials).

It is necessary to be particularly cautious when using sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid in combination with klenzit gel C. If you have used those preparations, then let them run out of effect before using gel klenzitc.

Clindamycin has a neurotransmitter properties. Therefore, caution should be used in patients who are taking neurotransmitter drugs because it can increase the effects of these drugs.

Cancer ability, mutations and fertility:

Research on the ability to cause cancer of Adapalene is conducted on mice using the skin on the skin and on the rat orally orally, with a higher dose of about 4 to 75 times the maximum daily daily skin for humans.

In oral study, it is a proportional tendency for the frequency of gland tumors and epithelium tumors at the thymus of the mouse, and the frequency of benign and malignant cells of chromium cells in the adrenal pulp of male mice.

There is no study of cancer causing by light with Adapalene. Animal studies have shown an increase in the risk of cancer when using drugs with similar pharmacological effects (eg retinoids) when giving ultraviolet rays in the laboratory or sun exposure. Therefore, patients should avoid or minimize exposure to sunlight or artificial rays.

In a series of in vitro and in vivo studies show that Adapalene has no effect on gene mutations or toxic to the gene.

Research and assessment of Clindamycin's cancer ability is conducted by daily medication for mice for two years. The dose for this study is about 3 to 15 times higher than the clindamycin dose for humans, assuming the drug is completely absorbed and compares based on the body surface area. There is no sign of significantly increasing tumors when taking animals.

Clindamycin 1% significantly shorten the average time on the onset of tumors when studying on the mice causing tumors by shining artificial sunlight.

Testing toxicity with genes is conducted including micro -microwave tests on rats and Ames island tests on Salmonella, both tests give negative results. Researching the reproduction of mice using clindamycin hydrochloride and clindamycin palmitat hydrochloride does not see evidence that reduces fertility.

Storage
