Pharmacological

corticosteroids are hormones produced by adrenal glands that have many important functions in the body. Triamcinolone is a synthetic glucocorticoide attached to fluor atom. The drug has anti -inflammatory effects, immunosuppressive, anti -allergy. Because the drug is less effective in regulating corticosteroids, it is not used alone to treat adrenal insufficiency.

Corticosteroids reduce inflammation due to cell inflammation, prevent the release of some important chemicals in the immune system, which are related to immune and allergic response, leading to inflammation. Due to reducing the release of this substance in some positions, the drug has the effect of reducing inflammation.

pharmacokinetics

absorption: triamcinolone absorbs well after injection.

Distribution: The drug is distributed into all tissues in the body (muscles, liver, skin, intestines, kidneys ...), through the placenta fence and secretion into small amounts. The drug combines mainly with plasma proteins.

Metabolism: Triamcinolone is metabolized mainly in the liver, partly in the kidney.

Elimination: The drug is eliminated through the urine, half a lifetime range from 2 to 5 hours.
