Uses

indications

Losec mups are indicated in the following cases:

Treatment of duodenal ulcer, stomach ulcers , reflux esophagitis and preventive prophylaxis relapse stomach ulcers.

Combining antibiotic in the treatment of duodenal ulcer in Helicobacter pylori infected patients.

Treatment digestive ulcer and gastrointestinal inflammation due to the use of nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs.

Preventive treatment in patients with high risk of digestive ulcers, gastrointestinal inflammation or symptoms of digestive disorders due to the use of nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs.

Treatment of heartburn and belching due to gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Treatment of Zollinger-Elison syndrome.

Pharmacology

Effects on gastric acid secretion:

Use Omeprazol oral 1 time a day to bring acid inhibition of quick and effective acid secretion all day and night with maximum effect achieved after 4 days of treatment.

Obeprazol 20mg oral dose maintains stomach pH> 3 in the average period of 17 hours/ 24 hours in patients with duodenal ulcer. As a result of reducing acid secretion and reducing gastric acid, omeprazol reduces/normitize acidic exposure in patients with gastroesophageal reflux, this effect depends on the dose.

Effect on H. Pylori:

How to use

Losec mups should be taken in the morning and swallow all pills with half a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the pill.

For patients with difficulty swallowing: breaking the losec mups and scattered in 1 teaspoon of water -free water, if you want to be able to blend into fruit juice or apple sauce. Stomach ulcer:

recommended dose Losec Mups 20 mg, 1 time/day. Most patients heal for 4 weeks. For patients who do not heal completely after the first procedure, it will usually heal completely in the next 4 weeks of treatment.

For patients who do not respond to other treatment regimens, Losec Mups 40 mg once a day can be used.

Refuens in patients with stomach ulcers:

The recommended dose is Losec Mups 20 mg, 1 time/day. If necessary, Losec Mups can be increased to 40 mg, 1 time/day.

Rock reflux esophagitis:

The recommended dose is Losec Mups 20 mg, 1 time/day. Symptoms of rapid decrease and most inflammatory patients within 4 weeks.

For patients who do not heal completely after the first course, it will usually heal completely in the next 4 weeks of treatment.

For patients who do not respond to other therapies, Losec Mups 40 mg, 1 time/day can be used.

Eliminate Helicobacter pylori (HP):

3 drug regimen: Losec mups 20 mg, amoxicillin 1 g and clarithromycin 500 mg, all use 2 times/ day for 1 week. Or Losec Mups 20 mg, Clarithromycin 250 mg and Metronidazol or Tinidazol 500 mg, all use 2 times/day for 1 week.

Gastrointestinal ulcers or gastrointestinal inflammation due to the use of nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs, currently or not treated simultaneously with nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs (NSAID):

recommended dose is Losec Mups 20 mg, 1 time/day.

For patients who do not respond to other therapies, Losec Mups 40 mg, 1 time/day have been used and healed, usually within 4 weeks.

Preventive prophylaxis of digestive ulcer, gastrointestinal inflammation or gastrointestinal disorders due to nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs (NSAID):

The recommended dose is Losec Mups 20 mg, 1 time/day. Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux symptoms recommended as Losec Mups 20 mg, 1 time/day.

Zollinger-Elison syndrome:

The starting dose is Losec Mups 60 mg daily. Dosage should be adjusted for each individual and continue treatment when clinically indicated.

Special subjects:

Renal failure: No need to adjust.

Liver failure: Because of the bioavailability and the half-life of plasma of omeprazole increases in patients with liver function impairment, the dose of 10-20 mg/ day is sufficient.

Elderly: No dose adjustment.

Children: LOSEC MUPS treatment experience in children is limited.

Contraindicated

Losec mups contraindicated in the following cases:

Hypersensitivity to omeprazol , other benzimidazol derivatives or any excipients of the drug.

Not used simultaneously with nelfinavir.

Caution when using

When stomach ulcers are identified or suspected and accompanied by the presence of one or more warning symptoms: significant weight loss, recurrent vomiting, difficulty swallowing, vomiting or defecation of black blood, eliminating malignant ability because the treatment can cover symptoms and delay diagnostic.

Do not recommend using Atazanavir with proton pump inhibitors.

Drug interaction

Atazanavir: Concomitance use Omeprazol and Atazanavir is not recommended.

Digoxin : simultaneous treatment of omeprazol and digoxin increases the bioavailability of digoxin to 10%.

Clopidogrel: Should not be used simultaneously omeprazol and clopidogrel.

Other drugs:

For Posaconazol and Erlotinib, avoid simultaneously with omeprazol.

Metabolic drugs via CYP2C19:

The metabolism of drugs may be reduced when used with omeprazole: r-warfarin and other anti-vitamin K drugs, cilostazol, diazepam and phenytoin.

Used with omeprazole leads to an increase in plasma concentrations: saquinavir , tacrolimus, methotrexate.

Enzyme inhibitors CYP2C19 and/or CYP3A4: As clarithromycin and voriconazole can lead to increased omeprazol serum concentration due to reduced metabolic levels of omeprazol.

Storage

Do not store at temperatures above 300C. Store in the original packaging.
