Uses

indications

Martaz 20 drug is indicated in the following cases:

Heals gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) causes ulcers or corrosion: Rabeprazol is indicated for short -term treatment (4 to 8 weeks) to heal and reduce symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) that causes ulcers or corrosion. For patients who do not heal after 8 weeks of treatment, one more treatment can be used with Rabeprazol 8 more weeks.

Maintain after healing of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) causes ulcers or corrosion: Rabeprazol is indicated for maintenance treatment after healing and reduces the rate of heartburn symptoms in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease causing ulcers or corrosion. Controlled studies have not been performed for more than 12 months.

Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) symptoms:

rabeprazol is indicated for day and night heartburn treatment and other symptoms caused by GERD.

Healing duodenal ulcer:

Rabeprazol is indicated for short -term treatment (about 4 weeks) to heal and reduce duodenal ulcer symptoms. Most patients heal within 4 weeks.

combination of antibiotics in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection to reduce the risk of duodenal ulcer:

Rabeprazole in combination with amoxicillin and clarithromycin as a therapy of three drugs that are indicated for treatment for patients with duodenal ulcer H. pylori to eradicate H. pylori. Patients who fail to treat, should perform sensitive tests. If resistance to clarithromycin or can not be tested for sensitivity, other antibiotic therapy should be used.

Treatment of pathological secretion, including Zollinger - Ellison: Rabeprazol is indicated for long -term treatment of pathological secretion, including Zollinger - Ellison syndrome.

Pharmacokology

rabeprazole belongs to the group of anti -secretions (replaced Benzimidazol Proton Benzimidazol pump drugs) does not manifest the characteristic antagonistic h2 h2 or acetylcholine secretion resistance. Because this enzyme is considered as an acid pump (proton) in the wall of the wall, Rabeprazol has the characteristics of the stomach proton pump inhibitor. Rabeprazol prevents the end of the gastric secretion. In stomach wall cells, Rabeprazol received an extra proton, accumulated and transformed into an activity sulfenamid.

Pharmacokinetics

absorption

Absolute bioavailability of the Rabeprazol tablet tablet takes 20mg (compared to intravenously) is approximately 52%. When rabeprazol is used with a high -fat TMAX fat meal and may slow down up to 4 hours or longer. However, CMAX and the absorption level of Rabeprazol (AUC) change negligible. Therefore, Rabeprazol can be used without caring for meal time.

Distribution

rabeprazol binds to plasma proteins is 96.3%.

Metabolism

Rabeprazol is strongly metabolized. Thiioether and Suffon are the mainized substances that are mainly in human plasma. These metabolites do not have significant activity. In vitro studies prove that Rabeprazol is metabolized in the liver mainly by Cytochrom P450 3A (CYP3A) into SULLFON, and Cytochrom P450 2C19 (CYP2 C19) into Desmethyl Rabeprazol.

Elimination

After 1 single dose of 20mg of Rabeprazol marked 14C radioactive, about 90% of the drug is excreted in urine, mainly of its carboxylic acid, glucuronide, and the rehabilitation of radioactive activity is 99.8%. No rabeprazol has not changed in urine or in feces.

Warnings

Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.

contraindicated

Martaz 20 drug contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Rabeprazol is contraindicated in patients who know how to be hypersensitively to Rabeprazol, replacement benzimidazols or any ingredients of the drug.
  • Caution when using

responding to symptoms when treating with Rabeprazol does not rule out the presence of malignant stomach tumors.

To be out of reach of children.

The ability to drive and operate machinery

Caution when driving and operating dangerous machines because of the ability to sleep, dizziness, ... can occur.

    Pregnancy

There are no good and suitable studies for pregnant women. Because studies on reproductive animals do not always properly predict human response. So only this medication should be used during pregnancy if really necessary.

    The period of breastfeeding

Due to many excreted drugs on breast milk, and due to the likelihood of side effects on infants to breastfeed from Rabeprazole, deciding whether to stop the drug or stop breastfeeding to consider the importance of the mother.

    Drug interaction

Rabeprazol is metabolized by the P450 (CYP 450) metabolic enzyme. Studies on healthy subjects show that Rabeprazol has no clinical interactions with other drugs metabolized by CYP 450, such as Warfarin and Theophyllin with single dose, diazepam using single -vein injection dose, and phenytoin using single intravenous doses (for additional oral use).

Interaction in rabeprazol's stability with other drugs metabolized by this enzyme has not been studied in patients.

Rabeprazole inhibits continuous gastric secretion. The interaction may occur with substances that the absorption of the drug depends on the stomach pH due to the acid secretion of Rabeprazole.

For example, in normal people, simultaneously rabeprazole 20mg once a day reduces approximately 30% of the bioavailability of ketoconazole and increases the AUC and CMAX of Digoxin, respectively 19% and 29% respectively. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor patients when such drugs are used simultaneously with Rabeprazole.

    Storage

less than 30 ° C, a cool dry place. Avoid light and damp.
