Mekocefaclor 125mg is indicated in the following cases:

  • Respiratory infections: sore throat , bronchitis, tonsillitis, pneumonia , sinusitis .
  • otitis media .

    Pharmacology

    cefaclor is an oral cephalosporin antibiotic, semi -synthetic, 2nd generation, which has the effect of killing bacteria that are developing and dividing by inhibiting synthesis of bacterial cells. The following bacteria strains are sensitive to cefaclor:

    Aerobic bacteria, grams:

  • Staphylococcus (including penicillinase enzyme, positive coagulase, negative coagulase).
  • streptococcus pneumoniae, streptococcus pyogenes.
  • Aerobic bacteria, gram negative: Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae (including enamel formation B - lactamase, ampicillin resistance), Klebsiella spp., Neisseria Gonorrhoeea, Proteus Mirabilis.

    Anaerobic bacteria: Bacteroides spp. (Except for Bacteroides Fragilis), peptococcus niger, peptostreptococcus sp.

    cefaclor is quickly absorbed after drinking, widely distributed throughout the body, passing the placenta and secretion in low concentrations. Cefaclor quickly excreted through the kidneys, up to 85% of the doses of use are eliminated through urine in the form of unchanged within 8 hours, most of the excretion in the first 2 hours.     How to use

    Dosage

    Adults:

  • Common dose: 2 packs x 3 times/day. Maximum dose: 4 g/day.
  • Children:

  • Common dose: 1/2 - 1 pack x 2-3 times/day or 20 mg/kg/day, divided 3 times. Maximum dose: 1g/day.
