indications

Savi Mesalazine 500 medicine is indicated in the following cases:

  • Treatment ulcerative colitis The last to moderate last to medium segment.
  • Treatment of Sigma colitis.
  • Treatment of rectal inflammation. The mechanism of action of mesalazine is not fully understood, but seems to have a local effect, not the body effect.

intestinal inflammation is often accompanied by a tissue diffusion reaction including ulcers and invasive cells of lymphocytes, plasma cells, eosinophils, multi -core cells and active cells. The intervention of mesalazine or leukotrien or the prostaglandin metabolism can play an important role in preventing inflammatory reaction mechanism.

Mesalazine prevents the accumulation of Thromboxan B2 and 6-keto-Prostaglandin F1. Both Mesalazine and SAS (sulfasalazin) reversed H2O, chloride secretion and increased Na secretion in colitis caused in the test on the mouse (cobay mouse, cavia porcellus).

SAS and Masalazin are known to inhibit migrants can inhibit migrants through inhibition of lipoxygenase at lower concentrations than the concentration needed to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. Therefore, it can be said that both SAS and Mesalazine substances are capable of inhibiting both lines through the inhibition of lipoxygenase.

Mesalazine (5-aminosalicylic acid, 5-ASA), is the active and origin of sulfasalazine. Although the action mechanism of 5-ASA is unclear, this mechanism is due to the combination of many factors.

5-ASA has an inflammatory process through the ability to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandin, interfere with Leukotriene synthesis and of course create leukocytes' migration with the result of wiping free radicals. Regardless of the method of action, 5-ASA appears mainly on the spot instead of the whole body.

    pharmacokinetics

    absorption:

Mealazine -soluble tablets when taken orally, the drug passes through the stomach intact. The tablet tends to disintegrate about 5 hours after leaving the stomach.

    Distribution:

    Average agriculture in the plasma of 5-ASA and N-acetyl-5-ASA 'reaches 0.7 mcg and 1.2 mcg/ml, respectively 500mg x 3 times/day.

    Metabolism:

5-ASA is metabolized through the acetyl-gland process. Most of the metabolites N Acetyl-5-Amino-Salicylic Acid have a short serum life.

    Era:

Kidney excretion both 5-ASA is free and acetylation (N-AC-5-ASA) into the urine. The average rate of found in urine after drinking 5-ASA is estimated at 44%.
