During the treatment of diabetes, the dosage of the drug must be adjusted based on the response and tolerance of the patient. The goal of treatment is to reduce blood sugar at less than 126 mg/decilite (
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.

Contraindicated
Metformin 850 mg drug is contraindicated in the following cases:
Be cautious when using
need to be very careful when taking the drug for patients in the following cases:
For patients using metformin, regular subclinical tests should be monitored, including blood sugar quantitative, to determine the minimum metformin dose effective. Patients need information about the risk of lactic acid infection and circumstances that can easily lead to this condition.
metformin is excreted mainly through the kidneys, the risk of accumulation and lactic acid infection increases according to the degree of renal function.
Metformin is not suitable for treating the elderly, often with impaired renal function; Therefore, serum creatinine must be checked before starting treatment.
Must stop treatment with Metformin from 2-3 days before the scanning.
There is a notice that the use of diabetes treatments increases cardiovascular mortality, compared to a simple diet treatment or insulin combination with a diet.
Metformin must be stopped when performing surgery.
Do not use metformin in patients with liver function impairment.
Be cautious when used for children aged 10 to 12 years old.
The effect of the drug on the ability to drive and operate machinery
Metformin single treatment does not lower blood sugar and therefore did not affect the ability to drive or use machinery.
When metformin is used in combination with other diabetes (such as sulfonylurea, insulin, meglitinides), should be cautious about using drugs for trainers and operating machinery.
Use drugs for women during pregnancy and lactation
pregnancy:
metformin is contraindicated for pregnant women.
breastfeeding period:
metformin is excreted in breast milk. No side effects are observed in infants and infants breastfeeding. However, limited data, need to consider whether to stop breastfeeding or stop taking the drug, based on the importance of the drug for the mother.
Drug interaction
Active reduction: drugs that tend to cause hyperglycemia (for example, diuretics, corticosteroids, phenothiazine, thyroid preparations, estrogen, oral medications, phenytoin, nicotine acid, drugs that are similar to sympathetic neurons, calcium channel blockers, iSoniazids) Blood glucose.
Increased effect: Furosemid increases the maximum concentration of Metformin in plasma and in the blood, without changing Metformin's kidney clearance coefficient in the study using a single dose.
Increased toxicity: Cationic drugs (for example, amilorid, digoxin, morphine, process, Quinidin, Ranitidin, Triamteren, Trimethoprim and Vancomycin) are excreted by excretion through the renal tubules that can interact with Metformin by competing with conventional transportation systems in the kidney tubes. Cimetidine increases the peak concentration of Metformin in plasma and total blood, thus avoiding Metformin combination with cimetidine.
Interaction with alcohol: avoid or limit drinking alcohol (lactic acid infection rate may increase, can cause hypoglycemia).
Storage
Leave a cool place, avoid light, temperatures below 30⁰C.
To be out of reach of children, read the instructions carefully before use.
