Uses

indications

Metiny drugs are indicated for treatment of infections in adults and children 12 years of age:

  • Acute bronchitis and exacerbations of chronic bronchitis caused by Haemophilus Influenzae (only non-secreted strains of beta-lactamase), Moraxella CatVrhalis (including beta-lactamase strains) or Streptococcus Pneumoniae, Streptococcus aureus. Streptococcus pyogenes (streptococcal streptococcus). Pneumoniae (only sensitive strains with penicillin), Haemophilus influenzae (indicated strains of beta-lactamase), Moraxella Catatrhalis (including beta-lactamase secretions). Mirabilis, Klebsiella Pneumoniae, Proteus Mirabillis and Staphylococcus Saprophyticus. Body road.

    ATC code: J01DC04.

Cefaclor is a semi -synthetic Cephalosporin antibiotic for orally, it has the effect of killing bacteria growing and dividing by inhibiting synthesis of bacterial cell walls.

Cefaclor has a Vitro effect against a range of Gram -positive and gram -negative bacteria.

Cefaclor has bactericidal effects by inhibiting the synthesis of cell walls. Cefaclor stabilizes with some bacterial beta-lactamase enzymes, so some bacteria produce beta-lactamase sensitive to cefaclor.

    bacteria study

Slow release Cefaclor film tablets have been shown to be able to fight most bacteria both clinically and in vitro as described in the specified section.

Aerobic grams: Staphylococcus aureus (including beta-lactamase strains), Staphylococcus Epidermidis (including beta-lactamase strains), Staphylococcus Saprophyticus, Streptoccus Pneumonia, Streptococcus Pyogenes

Note: Cefaclor does not work with staphylococcus aureus strain.

Aerobic grams: Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Haemophilus influenzae (indicated strains of beta-lactamase secretion), Moraxella Catatrhalis (including beta-lactamase strains), Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp.

Although the effectiveness of clinical treatment has not been determined, on vitro, the slow -released Cefaclor film tablet has been proven to be safe and effective for the majority of the following bacteria:

Aerobic Gram: Citrobacter Diversus, Neisseria Gonorrhoeae

Anaerobic bacteria: Bacteroides spp. (Except for bacteroides fragilis), peptococcus, peptostreptococcus, propionibacterium acnes.

    Medicine resistance mechanism:

Cefaclor resistance is mainly through the hydrolysis of beta-lactamase, changing penicillin-mounted proteins (Pbps) and reducing permeability. Pseudomonas spp resistance to cefaclor.

Currently, some sensitive bacteria have become resistant to cefaclor and other 2nd generation cephalosporin antibiotics, especially streptococcus pneumonia, Klebsiella Pneumoniae resistant penicillin and Escherichia coli Beta-lactamase activated spectrum.

    pharmacokinetics

  • Before taking Metiny 375mg Merap Group treats acute bronchitis infections (1 blister x 10 tablets)

    How to use

    Metiny oral medication.

Do not cut, crush or chew the tablet when taken. The absorption of the slow -released Cefaclor tablet is enhanced when used with food (see pharmacokinetics). Therefore, Metiny should be used while eating (ie within 1 hour after eating).

    Dosage

Bronchitis: 375 mg at a time, 2 times a day.

Sore throat, tonsillitis, skin infections and skin structure: 375 mg at a time, 2 times a day.

pneumonia, sinusitis: 750 mg at a time, 2 times a day.

Lower urinary tract infections: 375 mg at a time, 2 times a day.

In the treatment of bacterial infections due to streptococcus group A, it is recommended to use Cefaclor for at least 10 days.

Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist. What to do when using overdose?

What to do when you forget 1 dose? However, if the time to relax with the next dose is too short, skip the dose and continue the calendar of the drug. Do not use double dose to compensate for missed dose.

  • Warnings

Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.

    contraindicated

Metiny drugs contraindicated in the following cases:

Metiny is contraindicated for patients with a history of hypersensitivity to cefaclor, other cephalosporin antibiotics or any ingredients of the drug.

    Caution when using drugs

superinfection (excessive growth of non -sensitive microorganisms) is likely to occur when the patient is treated with broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefaclor. Need to monitor patients carefully, if superinfection must take appropriate treatment.

Patients treated with slow release Cefaclor tablets can lead to false positive when testing glucose in urine. This phenomenon has been recorded in patients with cephalosporin antibiotics when trying with Benedict, Fehling or Clinitest® solutions.

Before treating with slow release Cefaclor tablets, it is necessary to determine that the patient has a history of allergies to cefaclor, cephalosporin, penicillin or the ingredients of the drug. If allergies to Metiny occur, stop the drug immediately. In case of serious allergies may need treatment with epinephrin and other emergency measures, including oxygen, infusion, antihistamine intravenous injection, corticosteroids, turbocharged amines and other respiratory management measures as a clinical indication.

Be cautious when used in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, especially colitis. Fake colitis is common in most cases of broad -spectrum antibiotics, including Cefaclor. Therefore, the consideration of diagnosing patients with diarrhea while using antibiotics is very important. In case of mild fake colitis, it only needs to stop the drug. The average to severe to need appropriate treatment.

Used in children: Not yet determined effectiveness and safety in children.

Patients with rare genetic problems in tolerance Galactose, Lapp Lactose deficiency or Glucose-Galactose should not take this drug.

Use drugs for women during pregnancy and lactation

    Pregnant women

Experimental animal studies show that Cefaclor is relatively safe when used during pregnancy. However, there is no complete and well -controlled research on pregnant women, should only be used if the benefits are superior to the risk.

    breastfeeding women

Small amount of Cefaclor was discovered in breast milk after taking a single dose of 500 mg. On average, about 0.2 µg/ml or less has been detected after 5 hours. Be careful when using Metiny in breastfeeding women

The effect of the drug on driving and operating machinery

There is no evidence of the effect of the drug on the ability to drive and operate machinery.

    Drug interaction

The level of absorption of Cefaclor tablets releases slowly decreasing if taking antacids containing aluminum hydroxyd or hydroxyd magnesium within 1 hour after taking the drug.

H2 anti -H2 drugs do not affect the speed and level of drug absorption.

Blood uric acid (Probenecid) inhibits the excretion of cefaclor through the kidney.

There has been a rare report on increasing prothrombin time, with or without hemorrhage when patients use simultaneously Cefaclor and Warfarin simultaneously. No specific studies have been conducted to guide or eliminate this potential interaction.

    Storage

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C in the original packaging, avoid moisture and avoid light.
