Indications

metronidazole 250mg Indications for treatment in the following cases:

  • Trichomonas vaginalis infection in the urinary tract - genital. Red. Learning

    Amoeba treatment

    A wave of use from 5–10 days

    Anaerobic infection treatment

  • Adults: Take 7.5mg/kg (maximum 1g), every 6 hours, used for 7 days or longer.
  • Children: Take 7.5mg/kg, every 8 hours.

    H.pylori infection treatment

    500 mg x 3 times/day, in combination with bismuth compounds or proton pump inhibitors and other antibiotics (clarithromycin or amoxicillin) for 1-2 weeks.

    Prevention of anaerobic infection after surgery

    20– 30mg/kg/day, divided into 3 times. Often coordinated with antibiotics B - lactam or aminoglycoside.
