Pharmacokology

Pharmacological group: antibacterial and anti -animal drugs in gynecological.

ATC code: G01AA51

Mechanism of action: Metronidazol is a 5-nitroimidazol conductor, with a broad spectrum on virgin animals and anaerobic bacteria. The mechanism of action of metronidazol is not very clear. In bacterial or protozoa cells, the 5-nitro group of the drug is reduced by nitroreductuctase of bacteria into toxic mediators to the cell. These substances are associated with the twisted structure of the DNA molecule to stop the copy process, eventually causing the cell to die.

Metronidazol works with most anaerobic bacteria and many types of protozoa including Entamoeba Histolytica, Trichomonas Vaginalis, Giardia Lamblia and Bantidium Coli.

Neomycin is an aminoglycosid antibiotic. The drug attaches to the ribosom 30S subunit of bacteria, thus inhibits protein synthesis and creates errors in the genetic fluid that leads to cell death. The drug has antibacterial spectrum on Gram aerobic bacteria (-) and some gram (+) bacteria. Nystatin is an antifungal drug, which has the effect of pliers and destruction of many different types of mushrooms.

The drug acts by attaching to the fungal cell membrane sterol, the result changes the absorbency of the cell membrane, causing leaking into the cell. Nystatin tolerates well even when long -term treatment and rarely cause drug resistance. The most sensitive is yeast and has a very good effect on Candida Albicans. Nystatin does not work with bacteria, protozoa and viruses.

pharmacokinetics

Metronidazol is poorly absorbed when using vaginal tablets. The amount of drugs absorbed to the peak concentration in plasma after 8 hours. Metronidazol is widely distributed. The drug appears in most tissues and body fluids including bile, breast milk, saliva, and vaginal secretions.

The drug also goes through the placenta. Less than 20% of drugs associated with plasma protein.

metronidazol is metabolized in the liver by oxidizing branch vessels and complex glucuronids. The drug is mainly eliminated in the urine. Neomycin is absorbed through wounds and inflamed or injured mucosa. The drug is quickly excreted in urine in the form of activity. The waste sale time has been reported at about 2-3 hours. Nystatin is not absorbed through the skin or mucosa when used on the spot.
