indications
Mayerthitic 300 is indicated for treatment for maintenance of sensory disorders caused by diabetic neuritis.
Pharmacokology
thioctic acid (also known as alpha lipoic acid) is an endogenous vitamin -like substance, which has the function of a coenzyme in the oxidation reaction forming the carbon dioxid of ketoacid.
The hyperglycemia in diabetes leads to the accumulation of glucose at the mother protein in the blood vessels and forms the called the final products of the advanced glycosylation (Ages: Ages: Advanced Glycosylation End Products). This process leads to a decrease in neurological blood flow and hypoxemia ischemia, combined with the increase in free oxygen production, which can be identified in the peripheral nerve as the decomposition of antioxidants like glutathion.
In mice studies, thioctic acid interacts with biochemical processes caused by experimental diabetes (caused by streptozotocin) through reducing the formation of Ages, improving neurological blood flow, increasing glutathion's physiological antioxidant level and antioxidants for free oxygen roots in diabetes.
The observed results in the experimental conditions show that peripheral nerve function can be improved by thioctic acid. This is related to sensory disorders in polygonary inflammation of diabetes, which is manifested by sensory disorders, abnormalities such as burning, pain, numbness, sensations of cows.
Supplementing the previous clinical results in the treatment of symptoms of diabetes with diabetes with thioctic acid, a multi -central study, which controls places in 1995, shows the beneficial effects of Thioctic acid on hot, intense, numb and painful symptoms.
Dynamic pharmacokinetics
acid thioctic acid (or alpha lipoic acid) is affected by the liver for the first time. The presence of thioctic acid in the body significantly changes between individuals. In the oxidation effect in the side chain and the conjugation, the acid of the biological transformation and excretion is largely through the kidneys.
The half-life of plasma cancellation of thioctic acid in humans is approximately 25 minutes and total clearance is 10-15 ml/min/kg. At the end of 30 minutes of transmission 600 mg, plasma concentration reaches approximately 20 mcg/ml. Using radioactive marking methods in animal tests (mice, dogs) shows that the excretory sugar is mainly through the kidneys, accounting for large quantities (80-90%) in the form of metabolites. Only a small amount of unchanged substances found in urine. Biological changes occur mainly due to the chain-oxidation cut oxidation (β-oxidation) and/or S-methylization of isotope.
In vitro, thioctic acid reacts with metal ionic complexes (as with cisplatin). Thioctic acid forms a hard -to -soluble complex with sugar molecules.
Before taking Meyerthitic 300mg Meyer medicine maintains sensory disorders (10 blisters x 10 tablets)
How to use
oral medication. Drink whole tablet with water when hungry. Food can reduce the absorption of the drug if used simultaneously. Therefore, patients need to keep hungry stomachs when taking the drug and the right time to take the drug is 30 minutes before breakfast.
Because polygonal disease is a chronic disease, long -term treatment can be required.
Dosage
Daily dose recommended in adults is taking 1-2 tablets (equivalent to 300 - 600 mg of alpha lipoic acid) oral once about 30 minutes before breakfast.
Children's contraindications.
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist. What to do when overdose?
Symptoms
In case of overdose, nausea, vomiting and headache may occur. After intentionally or unintentionally drink large amounts of 10 to 40 g of alpha lipoic acid with alcohol, severe poisoning and sometimes deadly cause. Signs of clinical poisoning can be first manifested in mental disorders or consciousness disorders, and typically develop general seizures and lactic acid infections. In addition, reducing blood glucose, shock, muscle destruction, hemolysis, scattered thrombosis (dic), bone marrow weakness and multi -organ failure have been described as a result of high doses of alpha lipoic acid.
Handling
In case of suspicion of severe poisoning caused by alpha lipoic acid (such as a dose> 10 tablets of 600 mg in adults and> 50mg/kg of weight in children), immediately take patients to medical facilities with basic emergency conditions of poisoning cases (including vomiting, stomach wash, use activated carbon, etc.
Treatment of general seizures, lactic acid infections and other life -threatening consequences of poisoning should be done with modern supporting care principles and need symptom treatment. The benefits of hemorrhage and peritoneal fertilizer or filtering methods to eliminate alpha lipoic acid do not give sure results.
What to do when you forget a dose? However, if close to the next dose, skip the forgotten dose and take the next dose at the time as planned. Note that it should not be used double the prescribed dose.
Side Effects
When using Mayerthitic 300, you may experience unwanted effects (ADR).
Very rare
Notice immediately to the doctor or pharmacist the harmful reactions encountered when using the drug.
Warnings
Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.
Contraindicated
Mayerthitic 300 contraindicated in the following cases:
Be cautious when using
Patients with non-genetic intolerance to Glucose-Galactose or Saccharaseisomaltase deficiency should not use this drug.
The ability to drive and operate machinery
The drug does not affect the ability to drive and operate machinery.
During pregnancy
According to the general principles of pharmaceutical use, pregnant women should only use the drug after careful consideration between benefits and risks.
Pregnant women are only treated with alpha lipoic acid when they have followed in accordance with the instructions of the physician, even if the toxicity studies for the reproductive system do not show any effects on fertility and embryo development and no signs showing fetal toxicity.
The period of breastfeeding
According to the general principles of pharmaceutical use, nursing women should only use the drug after careful consideration between benefits and risks.
Lactating women are only treated with alpha lipoic acid when they have followed in accordance with the instructions of the physician.
It is unknown whether alpha lipoic acid is secreted into breast milk or not.
Drug interaction
Activated cipastin is lost when used simultaneously with alpha lipoic acid.
Hypoglycemic effects when combined with insulin or oral medications for diabetes can occur. Therefore, especially in the early stages of therapy, it is necessary to monitor blood sugar closely. In special cases, reducing insulin or oral medications for diabetes treatment is necessary to prevent the manifestations of hypoglycemia.
Alpha Lipoic acid is a metal complex and therefore should not be used simultaneously with metal compounds (such as iron, magnesium, dairy products containing calcium). If Alpha Lipoic acid tablets are used daily 30 minutes before breakfast, iron and magnesi products can be used at noon or afternoon.
Regular use of alcohol is a high risk agent for the development and progress of neurological diseases, and therefore can reduce the success of the treatment of Alpha Lipoic acid. Therefore, patients with polygonary diabetic neuritis should be recommended to avoid alcohol. This also needs to be recommended for the time of untreated time.
Cavalry of the drug: Due to no studies on the correspondence of the drug, not mixing this drug with other drugs.
