Meyerursolic medicine indicated in the following cases:

The drug is used to dissolve cholesterol -rich stones in patients with gallbladder still active.

    Dynamic pharmacokinetics

absorption: Ursodeoxycholic acid absorbs through the gastrointestinal tract after drinking and undergoing the liver - intestinal cycle.

Distribution: Ursodeoxycholic acid is partially combined in the liver before excreting bile.

    contraindicated

Meyerursolic drugs in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredients of the drug. Pregnancy and nursing women.

    Caution when using

In the first 3 months of treatment, liver function parameters such as AST, ALT and Y-AG should be monitored every 4 weeks, then every 3 months.

In the case of treatment of cholesterol gallbladder stones, it is recommended to check the effectiveness of visual diagnosis after 6 months. If X-rays do not see gallbladder, gallstones with chemicals, gallbladder reduction or frequent pain of bile cramps, Meyerursolic is not used.

If diarrhea, dose reduction, in case of diarrhea remains, should stop the drug.

Avoid coordinating with liver toxic drugs.

The excipient of the drug contains lactose, should not be used for patients with galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose absorption disorders.

Be cautious with the ingredients of the color of the drug (Sunset Yellow, Tartrazin, Ponaceau) can cause allergic reactions.

Using drugs for women during pregnancy and lactation

Pregnancy: There is no adequate data on the use of ursodeoxycholic acid, especially in the first three months of pregnancy. Animal studies have shown the likelihood of monitoring in the early stages of pregnancy. Therefore, the drug is not used during pregnancy unless it is really necessary.

Breastfeeding period: There is no clinical data on the safety of ursodeoxycholic acid in breastfeeding women. Therefore, Meyerursolic is not recommended for this group of patients.

The effect of the drug on driving and operating machinery

The drug does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.

    Drug interaction

should not be used simultaneously ursodeoxycholic acid with activated carbon, colestyramin, colestipol or antacids containing aluminum hydroxyd and/or smectit (aluminum oxide), because these products are associated with ursodexolic acid in the intestine as inhibiting the absorption and effectiveness of the drug. If it is necessary to use these drugs, take at least 2 hours before or after taking ursodexolic acid.

Ursodeoxycholic acid may increase the absorption of cyclosporin from the intestine. In patients who are treating cyclosporin, cyclosporin concentration should be checked and dose adjustment if necessary.

In some cases, ursodeoxycholic acid may reduce the absorption of ciprofloxacin.

Ursodeoxycholic acid has been shown to reduce the peak concentration in plasma (CMAX) and the area under the curve (AUC) of nitrendipine nitrendipine antagonistic calcium. An interaction that reduces the effectiveness of DASSON treatment has also been reported.

Oral contraceptives, estrogen hormones and medications that reduce blood cholesterol such as clofibroT may increase gallstones, the opposite of ursodeoxycholic acid used to dissolve gallstones.
