Uses

indications

Actapulgite drug is indicated in the following cases:

Treatment of functional symptoms of the intestinal tract, especially diarrhea and bloating.

Pharmacokology

Attapulgite is a stomach protection drug. Is a non-contrast substance and can perform the exploration of X-ray without stopping treatment.

The drug does not change the color of stool. Attapulgite is aluminum hydrate Magnesi silicate and is an inorganic clay.

Attapulgite activated (contained in most preparations on the market), Attapulgite is carefully heated to increase adsorption capacity.

Attapulgite activated is used as a adsorbent in diarrhea, has a strong coating effect, protecting the intestinal mucosa by spreading a uniform membrane across the mucosa surface.

Attapulgite is said to have the ability to adsorb many bacteria, toxins and reduce dehydration.

But the World Health Organization believes that these findings are not clinically significant. Although Attapulgite may change the consistency and appearance of the feces, there is no evidence that this drug prevents dehydration and electrolyte in acute diarrhea.

pharmacokinetics

Attapulgite does not absorb and is eliminated by feces.
