Mohizi drug used in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy.
Pharmacokology
Pharmacological group: vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin and similar substances)
ATC code: b03ba05
Mecobalamin is a methylation derivative of vitamin B12 found at high concentrations in blood and cerebrospinal fluid. Research shows that it promotes the synthesis of the main structural components of the axon in the hip nerve cells of diabetes mice, maintaining axon function.
mecobalamin promotes the metabolism of nucleic acid, protein and lipid. In animal research, mecobalamin is the co-enzyme in methionin synthesis. In particular, it was found to participate in the synthesis of thymidin from deoxyuridin and promote the synthesis of DNA and RNA. Studies also show that mecobalamine promotes the synthesis of lecithin, a major component of the myelin shell.
mecobalamin is effectively transported to the nerve tissue and improving metabolic disorders.
Experiments with nerve injury models show that mecobalamin plays a role in restoring nerve tissues.
mecobalamin inhibits abnormal stimulation of nerve tissues.
Dynamic pharmacokinetics
Natural vitamin B12 is found through the process of separation from the protein in the stomach thanks to the activity of acid and pepsin. The derivatives of the B12 produced in this process are mecobalamin and adenosylcobalamin. All the derivatives of the B12 bind to a protein called Haptocorrin or R protein, which is secreted by salivary glands and gastric mucosa. The process of creating links takes place in the stomach. The pancreatic protease partially reduces the cobalamin-Haptocorrin complex in the small intestine where the cobalamin is released and then linked to the internal factor (IF).
Cobalamin complexes - internal factors are absorbed at the end of the intestine. Cobalamin is released from the cobalamin complex - internal factor, then linked to another protein called Transcobalamin and is put into the circulatory system. In the liver, Cobalamin is partially metabolized, the rest is transported to other tissues of the body through the circulatory system. The cobalamin-transcobalamin complex is metabolized in cells through protease lysosom to create metabolites, cyanocobalamin, mecobalamin, adenosylcobalamin, hydroxocobalamin. Cobalamin is transformed to form mecobalamin in the cytoplasm and create adenosylcobalamin in mitochondria. Mecobalamin is the main circulation of cobalamin in the body.
mecobalamin binds to 3 types of plasma transport proteins, transmecobalamin 1 (TCI), Transmecobalamin 2 (TCII), Transmecobalamin 3 (TCIII).
mecobalamin is excreted through bile and urine. The excretion through bile is reabsorbed in the intestine.
Before taking Mohizi 0.5mg Korea Pharma Treatment of peripheral neuropathy (10 blisters x 10 tablets)
How to use
Mohizi medicine for oral, after meals.
Dosage
Dosage recommended: Take 1 capsule, 3 times/day after meals.
Dosage can be adjusted depending on age and condition.
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist. What do
do when using overdose?
If overdose occurs, treatment must be treated with symptoms. In the case of hydroxocobalamin is the main cause of toxicity, which is required to be dialysis for the patient. Actively monitor for timely measures.
In an emergency, call the 115 emergency center immediately or go to the nearest local health station.
What to do when you forget 1 dose? However, if the time to relax with the next dose is too short, skip the dose and continue the calendar of the drug. Do not use double dose to compensate for missed dose.
Side Effects
Unwanted effects have been reported in 146 of the 15180 patients (0.96%) (at the end of the survey on unwanted effect rate).
digestive:
Hypersensitivity (*):
Warnings
Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.
contraindicated
MOHIZI anti -contraindications in the following cases:
Caution when using
The use of drugs in high and prolonged doses is not recommended for patients with occupations related to mercury treatment or related compounds.
mecobalamin is sensitive to light. Therefore, the drug should be used immediately after removing the packaging.
Do not take the drug for too long if you do not see the response after treatment.
The effect of the drug on driving and operating machinery
There is no evidence of the effect of the drug on the ability to drive and operate machinery.
Using drugs for women during pregnancy and lactation
used in pregnant women:
There is no full research on the use of mecobalamin in pregnant women. However, vitamin B12 or precursors should be supplemented during pregnancy.
Used in breastfeeding women:
mecobalamin is excreted through breast milk. However, vitamin B12 or precursors should be supplemented for breastfeeding women.
Drug interaction
When using mecobalamin along with chloramphenicol (with greater concentrations or 25 mcg/ml) can cause bone marrow syndrome, due to chloramphenicol that can resist the blood creation effects of mecobalamine. Therefore, the patient's response should be monitored when combining the drug and changing other antibiotics if possible.
Antibiotics: Using antibiotics can affect the intestinal microflora and can reduce the mecobalamin part created from these bacteria.
Cholestyramin: Cholestyramin can reduce the amount of mecobalamin reabsorption in the intestine.
Colchicin: Colchicin reduces mecobalamin absorption.
H2 receptor resistance (cimetidine, famotidine, nizatidine, ranitidine): H2 receptor resistance reduces mecobalamine absorption.
metformin: Metformin reduces mecobalamin absorption.
Para-amino acid Salicylic: Using long-term anti-tuberculosis drugs reduces mecobalamin absorption.
Storage
Leave a cool place, avoid light, temperatures below 30⁰C.
